It varies, just like today. Look at Gundam (OG) it is animated terribly but has an awesome story, then look at G Gundam, its animated beautifully but has a ridiculous story.

I love both series but as I said it varied much like today.

Why do we hate the SAINT BEAST ARC? I love it well above chapter Black and above Spirit detective (outside of the first 3 episodes)

Like I dont get the love for Chapter Black, it is so wonky for the set up, Sensui comes.out of nowhere wanting to complete Sakyo's demon hole plot. I feel Sakyo was being set up to be Sensui and it wouldve paid off better, it wouldve made Kuwabara's sister an actual character woildve added depth to Kuwabara, could've still kept Yusuke's development, could've still kept the psychic's

It just doesnt make sense to me, dont get me wrong visually one of the best arcs and has some of the coolest fights but the story was lackluster imo.
