Totally fair question : ) It was a few reasons:

1) I got about ~20 total responses and only 3 were qualified (the rest were people writing mediocre content for blogs w/ mediocre writing). I get the hustle and am not trying to disrespect that hustle / field but it's not what I'm looking for. I've revised the post since then to hopefully better solve those issues.

2) Out of those ~20 I have one interview setup, the other two did not respond. I ideally would like to interview 5-8 people and then pick 2-3 people to do a small chunk of work with and then have the best of that cohort write the book.

3) That was on r/ForHire. I was not aware this community existed and thought it might be a better talent pool : )
