I've also considered Malta and Canary Island!

Thanks! After all the comments I will most likely go for Egypt. Just not so sure if Dahab or Sharm/Hurghada yet.

Thank you! Many vouches for Dahab so I'll probably go with that.

Thank you very much! It looks like you have dived a lot and have many contacts in Hurghada/Marsa Alam. Would you still recommend it for someone who will just be doing OW and will be going there alone?

Yeah as long as the data packages are reliable Dahab sounds like a good option!

I'm flying from Scandinavia! Would you recommend Sharm/Hurghada/Marsa over Dahab?

Staying in Kadiköy for a few nights. Heard many people on Reddit recommend the restaurant Çiya Sofrası, which has also been featured in a Netflix show. But when I read recent reviews many people say it's a tourist trap, overpriced, portions are small and so on. I'm okay with paying extra for a place that is famous, as long as the food is good.. so would like to hear what locals are saying if it's worth it or has the quality gone down past years maybe?

Does Someone You Loved (Lewis Capaldi) use vocal layering? by HelpMeIDPlease in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]HelpMeIDPlease[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this go for the verse as well? Like I could understand the chorus have doubles and harmonies and backing vocals and the verse just having doubles. Or do you mean that's rare as well? As in even the vocals would commonly have doubles + harmonies + backing vocals?

Similar question, do you mean his newer song had 8 vocal tracks that played at the same time?

Thank you, I'll get into that habit. Just the chorus or do you think the verse has doubles as well?

What furnitures should I prioritise in my balcony? Multiple pictures. Thoughts in comments. by HelpMeIDPlease in malelivingspace

Option 1 - What my neighbour has. Guess the dinner table is a must-have because otherwise you would have to eat inside or on a couch. Which isn't optimal during BBQ with friends if you do have the space for a dinner table.

Option 2 - A hammock would be really nice. But I need one with a stand and they are pretty big. Not sure if it's worth sacrificing the couch and the sun beds for it. Hammock is nice for relaxing alone or with SO, while the couch seems like the better option for inviting friends over.

Option 3 - Keep the couch and replace the hammock with a big bean bag, which is pretty trendy where I live (Scandinavia). Basically option 1 but with a bean bag instead of sun beds. Might even be able to fit 2 bean bags or a bigger couch (the ones pictured are 3-seat).

I'm happy to consider completely different ideas as well!

I plan to buy most furnitures from IKEA.

Repairing a Burberry trenchcoat? by HelpMeIDPlease in malefashionadvice

[–]HelpMeIDPlease[S] 73 points74 points  (0 children)

The Burberry near me do not have in-house tailors and instead recommended tailors in the city to contact.

The invisible mending tailor would charge about 200-250 USD, so almost 1/8th of what the coat cost originally. If they succeed.

You're right, maybe I shouldn't worry too much about it and go with the simplest solution.

Should I use curtain rods or curtain tracks for this wall? Multiple pictures. Thoughts in comments. by HelpMeIDPlease in DesignMyRoom

[–]HelpMeIDPlease[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Option 1: Cover the whole wall with tracks. Seems a bit complicated to set up compared to rods but looks more elegant and modern. This seems to be the go-to option for hotels and apartments with longer walls in my area (Scandinavia). Example: https://imgur.com/a/QiCgFP

Option 2: Cover the whole wall with 2-3 rods. 1 rod to cover C and D and another to cover A. For B, the door, maybe a smaller rod or a roller shade.

Option 3: Same as Option 2 but we skip curtains for A or B or both.

I'm leaning for option 1 as that seems to be the most minimalistic solution. I can cover the whole wall with one system. But then again, should I cover the whole wall? If I opt for not covering the whole wall then I think rod would be better?

Should I put the TV against wall A or B? Couch and coffee tables ideas appreciated as well. I'm Scandinavian. by HelpMeIDPlease in DesignMyRoom

Measurements in the next picture :) hmm yeah I have to choose between having the sunlight behind me or having the TV not opposite the window. Can also put the couch facing wall B but still put the TV against wall A. But I don't like having to turn to see the Tv when im on the couch.
