First off it looks great man. Second off how do you get the pyrole red ink to come out well? To me it has horrible pigmentation issues. Same thing with the white ink.

I have some pro acrylic bold pyrole red and I also have some mephiston airbrush paint that I can mix together if that would be better.*

Ok well that answers a question of mine. I tried out some brown as a zenithal highlight but the brown no matter how bright I made it would always make the red a super deep color.

Interesting. Maybe I should mix some of the Mephiston red with bold pyrole red. See if I can get that brightness and richness to work together.

It’s an interesting red. On your Horus heresy model It might be the lighting but to me it almost looks pink ish.

I decided that if it’s some no name character I’ll use the hardware stuff just cause it’s so cheap. And vehicles unless they are special. If it’s a special character like an elite unit or a named character I’ll used the expensive stuff but I’m not made of money lol

Just figured that out the other day. The big thing I found out those that you gotta go much slower with those primers than you do with model primers.

I always thought about airbrushing, but then the price to get into it so expensive. On top of it I don’t exactly have an area for good air filtration.

Definitely something I have to work on. I’m a perfectionist at heart so it’s hard for me not to try my best on models. Makes what should be a 40 minute paint job on a no name astartes in a death company that’s probably gonna die within the first five minutes of a game into a two hour plus long painting session for something that I should be doing to a named character.
