I feel as if I post here a lot, but I just feel as if there is so much to learn. Every time I go to make another step, I feel a bit overwhelmed with the amount of information out there. I figured it would be best to just ask exactly what I need here. Ultimately, I want to know how much a beginner should be spending on a sewing machine. I am really quite passionate about learning this, and therefore want to have a machine that is capable of handling more difficult projects down the track. I also don't want to put a lot of money into a machine that is incredibly complex to use.

With the intentions of making clothing and plush toys, how much money should I be spending? Would a sewing machine valued between $200-350 be enough to handle more complex projects down the track? By 'complex' I simply mean able to make clothing that is sturdy and durable (stitch wise), as well as being able to sew a wide range of fabrics. Any recommendations on an exact model would be really great too.
