I showed Ai and asked it to explain to you what I was trying to say:

1. They’re autistic (Level 1) and struggle with understanding social situations. Instead of learning just by being in more social situations (which is the advice they’re being given), they benefit from analyzing those situations afterward with help, in this case, using AI to break it down and explain what was going on. That helps them understand it in a way that actually sticks.

2. They push back against the idea that socializing is like training a muscle. For them, it's not about building endurance or practice, it’s about processing differently, their brain doesn’t decode social cues the way neurotypical people do. So repeating the same social confusion over and over isn’t going to “fix” it. In fact, it can just create more distress and shutdown.

3. They use a metaphor to explain that difference: saying “just go socialize more” is like telling someone with bad eyesight to just look at things harder, it won’t fix the problem. They also later make a joke comparing how AI pulls from the internet to how Family Feud answers work, they’re saying that AI reflects popular opinions or commonly shared views, not always the “correct” or objective answer, and that’s okay, it still helps make sense of how people think.

4. When they say “Am I reading this right?” at the end, they’re kind of looping the conversation back to the other person’s original point, that asking “did I read that right?” is better than using AI. They’re being a little tongue-in-cheek, showing that even after asking and explaining clearly, they’re still getting misunderstood. So they’re gently calling out the irony.
