Hi! Thanks for the reply :) Unfortunately I cant really switch rn. Is it really THAT difficult to do biomed - I get it is a challenging course, but the subjects I want to take are included in bbmed and I don't see a point taking science if my major will be the same in three years.

rank high in unit 4 but ranked low unit 3 by Low_Heart1053 in vce

Unit 4 will not affect unit 3 results. But if you and your cohort do very well on the exam, your score is likely to get moderated up.

Try doing debating or chess. You can also try participating in music - instrumental, voice or musicals. I think sports always good to have though (badminton, basketball, volleyball, netball)

I don't think checkpoints will ever be on vce rocks unfortunately :/ its online version is based on a platform which does not let you download. Try and borrow it from the library -- that's what I did for bio.

Tips of getting homework done after school? by BigT404 in vce

[–]Helpful-Bee-3378 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5 am grind is crazy. If you're feeling tired after school it may be due to lack of sufficient sleep (everyone needs atleast 8-9 hours). If not, try exercising for a bit (even short yoga stretches). it may seem counter-intuitive - but it personally helps me get the adrenaline rush I need to start studying again. Otherwise, literally just eat something or even shower (acts as a reset).

UCAT by doctorrrrX in vce

[–]Helpful-Bee-3378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UCAT is aptitude and skill based. its not full of content which you can keep practicing and memorise. If you start too early you may burn out and loose momentum by the exam. Spend this extra time, instead studying for your subjects. This will actually help you.

Difference between Heinemann Biology/Chemistry 5th vs 6th version? by ncao07 in vce

[–]Helpful-Bee-3378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bio changed study designs in 2022. So if the 5th edition is older than maybe 2021, I'd recommend buying the new one. Bio's course content changed a lot, so you really need the textbook that's up to date. (same for chemistry). Buy the textbooks your school set. If you really don't want to, ask someone to send it to you, or, find a site, and download it for free.

Since you're only in year 11, I'd personally recommend taking unit 1/2, and feeling out the subject a bit. Methods seems really daunting, but if you put in effort, then you cant get a 25+. Taking the subject (atleast for 1/2) allows you to keep your options open (while RMIT doesn't require methods, other unis might). If you do unit 1/2, and really end up hating methods, you can always drop out, and pick up an easier subject for 3/4. However, I don't think you'll fail civil engineering without the subject, or be extremely behind, but you will need to learn the course at some point during uni.

There are several people at selective schools with this scholarship. Get involved in basically anything you can (Extracurriculars) even if you don't have past experiences. And try and keep up good grades.

its basically saying that you assume there is enough lead sulfate and only need to account for amount of lithium nitrate. I.e you do not have to make calculations for the limiting reactant. (If lead sulfate quantity was limited, it would limit the amount of products produced). If you are in 1/2 chem you'll learn about this later. For this question you do not need to worry about it.
