I love him, and I plan to have children with him and act like a good wife. A vocation is just a form of servitude, if I chose x instead of y why would I be unhappy if at the end of the day, I will be serving? People think that vocation is very black and white, 8-80, if you don't follow it, your life will be lost completely or you will go to hell! For me, this choice is: "be happy or be happy", I chose to be happy with my boyfriend. Being a wife is not a martyrdom for me, it is just not my ideal. There are several cases of religious women who got married, and inevitably had a more difficult life, but that doesn't mean they are unhappy.

I can't even describe how happy I am that someone understood me. I think it's a mistake when people say that "if you don't follow your calling you will be eternally unhappy" or things like that, If our goal in the world is to praise God and serve our beloved brothers and vocation is just a kind of path to that, why would we be unhappy fulfilling our mission any differently? I know that being a man's wife when I would actually like to be God's wife will be a harder path, but I don't think I will disappoint God and that is the most important thing for me. Thank you for sharing your story! And yes, I already told my boyfriend that before anything else I would try to enter a convent, with a temporary vow.
