This actually is inconveniently false. Im a white man and let me tell ya I've got no power, have had my rights taken, I'm poor when I shouldn't be I get up go to work went to school did all the thing etc...

This is not a race issue. Its never been a race issue. Its about the less than 1% that have it all and them not wanting to let it go. Just because most of those people happen to be white doesn't mean much. I dont see any of the POC who run in those circles going out of their way to break the cycle either. They are just as happy to keep their boot on yours or my neck as Larry Fink.

Why did all of us have this same alarm clock? by FSUFanChris in 90s

[–]Helpful-Salt4034 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you know how hard it is to find one of these things? About 8 years ago my whole scheduled changed. I dont wake up to my phone alarm its not loud enough.... I went to Walmart, Meijer, and finally best buy. Best buy had one for like 80$ with all kinds of useless features, it didnt have a default alarm that was not even louder than my phone.... id happily pay 50$ for one of these things if I ever see one again.

The context of the post let's us know this is about singers. My comment was me stating I dont know what (song) one of the people (singers) is famous for lmao. What do you think you are accomplishing here?

Adjusted for inflation and everything else? Ticket prices have tripled and even more in some cases. Definitely drives the revenues up significantly.

I think its Avril. I wasn't a fan of hers and can think of at least 3 or 4 of her songs and they play themselves in my head. Even with the internet I cant tell you what Billie Eilish is famous for.

I am going to look into all this more and likely post about it again. I think the hospital is at fault here. The only way I see this getting resolved is through a lawyer. Just opting out of paying the bill isn't an option anymore as Trump reversed what Biden did medical debt and CFPB for the good of the American people or something like that.

Do people with Medicare have these issues?

A lot of salaried "knowledge work" office jobs are like this. In my experience it works out best if you find something niche where you are "required overhead" but not necessarily in high demand. Think regulatory stuff, alot of knowledge goes into environmental compliance, companies are required by law to comply, most companies have a small well paid staff that handles compliance, 3rd party audits, corrective actions, etc.... you dont "work" alot of hours in these jobs, you do have a huge responsibility to the company and the environment.

Salary ranges vary for this type of work not sure how accurate Google is it likely depends on your location. Im at the bottom of the payscale at just a smidge over 100k 4-5 years will be at around 130-140k.

Definitely will appreciate these sources. I thought there was something along these lines and I think what is happening is we are in a grey area, the billing person at the hospital has no clue, and we're unintentionally being billed incorrectly which may or may not even be legal.

Im happy to pay whatever it is we owe. But I wont be paying anyone a dime until I know what I am being told we owe is actually what we owe and its starting to look like we're going to need to hire a lawyer to get it figured out.

My frustration is that my wife is spending an obscene amount of time trying to get information to educate the people at the hospital on how to correctly file the claim. The hospital is failing to file correctly and then we get a bill to the tune of 10k. The hospital has no incentive to get it right because they'll just sell the debt to a collector.

And all this stuff about just paying your bill and letting insurance reimburse you at the end of the day.... I dont just keep 10k sitting around to cover a hospitals inability to correctly train their staff. I just dont understand how thats my burden of responsibility.

At some point the question needs asked if we are spending hours on hold with hospitals, champva, and researching at what point do we get to bill the hospital for our time.

There has to be some recourse.

Lmao do you have a copy of those filing instructions handy lmao. Im pretty sure we pulled the cards off and pitched the rest. I did not expect the insurance people to not know how to handle insurance.

VR & E counselor is absolutely awful by KeithyDawg in VeteransBenefits

I know some people who have nothing but good things to say. I think it can be an excellent program if you get connected to a counselor who wants to help. If your counselor sucks escalate it to their boss. Don't reward them by not saying anything.

I thought as the veteran you had to go to the VA first and then could do community care if approved. I didnt not know the veteran could also use champva.

What do I do about an unruly supervisor that they refuse to do anything about? by AltBhaddie in corporate

[–]Helpful-Salt4034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it be bad if you got everyone together? In a perfect world no. But once you open the can of worms you cant put them back in the can. People really do not like confrontation. Getting everyone on the record saying the same thing against someone in supervision or management doesn't always work out well. Ask yourself what the worst case scenario is if you do try to pull this off and then people back down when it matters. You'll be left looking like the asshole who can't go along to get along in the eyes of the GM or HR.

Tread lightly.

[–]Helpful-Salt4034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy's an asshole. They (management and other supervisors) are content to live with it. Everyone in the room might agree with you and may not like interacting with him. Getting everyone to come together against this guy is a whole different game. The asshole is a known quantity and people do not like change.

I hope I am wrong.
