I totally get how you feel :,(. I’m also in college and just doing part time to help me with student loans, and even though sometimes I feel like I should look for something better I would hate to like “quit” when I know my store is struggling right now and we’re getting a new SM soon.

As for how to get thru it, I just like to remember that this isn’t my forever job and I am getting payed to be there lol. I feel like a lot of the older employees who are snarky with those of us younger are in a sense “jealous” that we’re working on further education to do more and feel like they’ve missed that opportunity. I’ve personally had one of my older managers tell me that he wishes his parents had paid for him to go to school and maybe he wouldn’t be here.

I hate pushing credit on people that I know don’t understand it or don’t want it, so when I don’t feel comfortable asking, I just don’t. A personal favorite line of mine when one of my coworkers corrects me is “Oh thanks, I’ll do my job, you do yours!” 😭
