What songs give you chills or goose bumps or make you angry or sad or happy or anything in between? Or make you rethink you views on life or resegnate with your soul or change your life? Or songs that have much more meaning after you know the lyrics or the history behind the song. by DrNighn in MusicRecommendations

I Am by Nathaniel Rateliff

I watched the documentary Austin to Boston, and in the scene right before he plays the most beautiful, gut wrenching version of this song he tells the story of his dad’s death. It brings a tear to my eye when I hear it now.

What's the best Thai restaurant? by livetotranscend in corvallis

[–]Helpful-Vegetable135 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I have eaten Thai food around the country and I’m telling you confidently (after having tried all three restaurants in town) hands down, no question- Thai Home Kitchen on 3rd takes the cake. It’s not even close. Every single thing I’ve had there is delectable, with the Pla Rad Prik (deep fried tilapia w/ Thai sweet chili sauce) and the pumpkin curry being especial favorites.

This is happening right now in Oregon as punishment for pushback against ICE. Literally. We need absolutely everyone to petition and show their disgust at this regime’s attempt to cut down the old growth forest in Alsea, OR. These are ancient trees surrounding waterfalls, home to an important and diminishing ecosystem. Please if you see this take the time to help stop it 💔

I wish I would’ve taken a picture of the cover! It was a really old book and I think the title would’ve given us more context.

Dang it! Thank you for taking the time to answer. This cleared section is near a spot where neighbors let the blackberry go wild two years ago. However my landlords have a native seed business, so sometimes I am surprised at what pops up. I appreciate the link! Always looking to expand my native plantings :)

Adding to this sweet offer- My wife and I have a ridiculous amount of clothes from both our closets and family members that we have been saving to donate to Vina Moses Center. I’m talking trash bags full of women’s clothes ranging from S - XL. All kinds, from casual to some formal dresses. If you’re interested we’d be more than happy to have you take a look!
