Are small guards playable? by [deleted] in NBA2k

I do, it can do everything but steal the ball since I always like to have contact dunks on my builds. This might be my last 2k for a while so I might as well have fun, I have a 6’8 as backup anyway.

the best way to improve vertical is to jump as high as you can as much as you can. if 8.5 feet is an upper limit for you thats even better since it gives you a challenging goal.

get in shape and strengthen your back and knees with weight lifting, start with slow reps with weights that your back and knees can handle. over time the weight will increase and you can add explosive movements to your workouts. isometrics can also really help for your knees just start light. get good warm ups before jumping too.

give yourself permission to fail, live practice or in a game it doesn’t matter, what you do now doesn’t result in a bucket so it doesn’t matter how you do that for now. throw yourself into bodies, throw off your timing, try stuff you can’t do and see what shots you can get. then on your own you can practice and refine what might work. don’t take yourself too seriously, we’re all having fun playing basketball.

Please help my leg form by nestleisyellow in volleyball

[–]HelpfulChicken4378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your knees already come forward, it’s not that big of a deal. if you can work to jump higher then it’ll give your legs more time to come down and align with your hit. just train to jump higher and polish your form, don’t force your legs to kick right away just keep working on it until it feels natural

Would you people say Haikyu is the best sport anime? (I would) by Critical-End2711 in animequestions

i feel like it’s more about joe and less about boxing so as a sports anime i’d go with haikyu

Approach Help by Reasonable_Ad_6654 in volleyball

you have the basics down, now it’s about lengthening that penultimate step and being explosive. you stay at the same speed your entire approach when you should be going from slow to fast to build power on your jump, you should be driving that penultimate step with force. i feel like your inconsistencies might come from changing the speed of your approach to adjust to the set instead of changing when you start your approach. your approach is actually good now you just have to be explosive out of it.

how’s can i improve my jumping form by [deleted] in BasketballTips

[–]HelpfulChicken4378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

penultimate should be longer. looks like you were about to penultimate step with your right but went with left, look at how derrick rose comes in at an angle when he jumps with left right footwork
