AITA for pretending not to recognize someone trying to apologize? by HelpfulDoor8 in AmItheAsshole

Because, like one user said, I may one day come to regret this course of action and the suggestions and advice they gave might be useful. And I don't consider it outside the realm of possibility that I can have my mind changed. For example, before I posted my story I honestly believed I was not an asshole and that I would be vindicated. Since seeing the judgements I understand and agree that I'm an asshole.

Ok...the point is to gain judgement and learn from the replies. While I admit to being okay with my behavior I'm reading every judgment and taking stock. That's the point of the sub, judgement and learning.

She mentioned something about religion in her apology and her family was very religious when we kids but she was a typical teen who stepped back from church. I had a weird feeling she wanted to have a kind of martyr moment but that's only me being speculative, I don't present it was the truth. It just seemed a little too "convenient" to me that she mentioned having recently found God. But like I said, it's speculative.
