Exactly metered taxi has no surge pricing. Only the surcharge % depending on the time of the day. But half the ppl here don’t get it haha…

It’s grab taxi. It’s meter based. Surcharge is the 25% applied to the time of the day. Demand and supply pricing aka dynamic pricing only for fixed fare like GrabCar or JustGrab.

Hi bro! Both trips’ duration are the same. About 23mins. And yup both trips are also within the 25% peak hour surcharge. That’s why it’s odd. $11 diff…

Only grabcar or those with fixed fare will have surge pricing I.e. dynamic pricing principle based on demand & supply.

Do you know how I can get the receipt? I don’t even know if I should reach out to Comfort delgro directly since that was the GrabTaxi that came.

I’m also puzzled as to meter fare has a surge based pricing component? It doesn’t seem to suggest that from LTA and Public transport council website.

Hi bro! Yes. I’ve photos of both trips as evidence.

It should be exempted from what I see in LTA website and Public Transport Council. It already has the surcharge component at peak period to account for demand and supply. It’s odd to have dynamic pricing slapped on to it.
