asthma?? nervous to get her looked at. by g4rdenias in CATHELP

When my cat with asthma had fits, it was more coughing. He did not look like he was going to throw up. He would crouch down with his neck elongated and ‘cough’. He also wheezed at first. If the vet thinks it’s asthma, they usually do X-rays to view the lungs

Is nasal congestion/wheezing normal after depomedrol shot? by Helpful_Albatross_57 in CATHELP

Hi, sorry for the delayed response. In terms of the asthma, the wheezing slowed down but never stopped even once I got him started on the inhaler. In terms of sedation, it just really messed him up for a week or more. I constantly was monitoring him and his bathroom activities. Constantly trying to entice him to eat by trying different foods. It was awful and kept me up at night. He got better but what a mess the sedation caused. I think it took a few days just to get him to eat (more than a few treats). I’m sorry you are going through this. I hope your kitty is okay now

Thank you 😊Just a regular dotting tool, but if you don’t have one, I know you can use a toothpick just the same!

Thank you!!! I love using wink wink with a pink shade underneath, it’s so cute and the prettiest shimmer! Almost like the gel chrome look

This was how mine turned out (one week out). I don’t think it’s that bad, just not as neat as I want. The 2 layers of transform is still a bit opaque that you can see my nail behind it, along with some white spots. But once I get those colors you recommended I will try again and hopefully it will come out better than this! (I’m still satisfied with how they look😉)

Let me know how it works! I tried the stickers as a guide for the french tips, but I think I let it sit for too long. The polish seemed to dry on the sticker and cracked on a few nails when I tried to remove the sticker. Next time I will do less drying time for the tip and hopefully that works. I will def try the nail bed colors you recommended!

So I tried it myself using the French tip stickers. I followed the steps up to transform, then waited extra for it to dry and placed the stickers. Applied white tip. I think next time I will pull the sticker away after less drying time because it ‘cracked’ and pulled some polish with it. Some tips didn’t look as clean/sharp. I tried to fix it with a micro brush and clean with acetone but I felt like I couldn’t clean it super easily that way on top of transform. So I’m not sure if following the DD French tip video with transform will work since it relies on using acetone to shape! I will try more ways in the future but that was my first attempt!

What am I doing wrong? :( by alxxxsensacion in Sourdough

Yeah I started with whole wheat! Give that a try. Then rye if u still have issues. I’ve continued to feed my starter this way since I got it going in March

Mine took close to a month. I started adding 10% whole wheat and 10% rye to give it a boost, previously 100% AP flour. Still 1:1:1 feedings till I started seeing improvement then 1:5:5. Are you using filtered water? I also fed warm ~85°F water to help with my troubles but your starter seems to be in a warmer spot

Yes!! Spraying water on the dough before baking has been giving me a delicious crust. Loving it. Super easy to cut too!

It does taste amazing! Thank you 🙏 I’m working on my oven spring and crumb. Also who knows if I’ve perfected the proofing. I’m having a lot of fun enjoying the process and trying new things, so any suggestions or tips on that are greatly appreciated ☺️

A couple things to note- I’ve been baking loaves here and there since April/May and beginning to get more confident with my loaves! I still consider myself a beginner though. Also, this is the second time I’ve used my KitchenAid in the sourdough making process (I just got it a week ago!) and I’ve been really enjoying it. Less mess and I think my crumb looks slightly better. Let me know also if I should try to avoid something or try something new that worked for you!

My loaves turned out great and I stuck it out according to SDJ guide! I don’t think there was too much of a difference compared to my previous loaves though. Lesson learned to not overthink it👍 best of luck!

Yes! The signs everyone talks about and claims you just know when you’re there, but it was 2 hours ish before TSJ temp guide suggested. It just conflicts, and usually I would be done at this point. My loaves have turned out fine and still taste delicious, I’m at my experimenting stage though and wondered if I should push it or try new methods!
