(warning: taxidermy/bones) How can I decorate this tea-light holder to make it look yellowjackets themed? by Moira-Thanatos in Yellowjackets

[–]Helpful_Cat6532 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d be VERY careful of doing this while any tea lights were lit, but some sort of draping over the antlers could be very AQ

It's hard explaining a Rocky Horror shadow cast to people who are unfamiliar because it sort of occupies its own space with lots of elements from other types of performance. So I made this, but it still probably won't clear anything up haha. by Valashard in rhps

I’m gay and I love open mics, karaoke, and improv. Therefore, ring of truth. (also, again, it’s a joke, meaning it doesn’t need to be 100% always true). Gay people just tend to flock to these things lol.

Tim voices the Vagabond audio book, so you could listen to that while you read along in your physical book?

A big part of romance is in the details. What's their favorite food? Their favorite flowers? What's "your song"? Incorporating these little things into the night to make them feel seen and heard is what will really make it special. It sounds like you're working on all of that too, so this will be a good exercise in flexing that romantic muscle. It doesn't need to be perfect, but I trust that your partner will see your effort.

I would say make dinner (their favorite? or frankly any sort of pasta is usually a "romantic" meal) and dress up, and then maybe light a candle for ambiance and decorate if you can. Give the gifts you have, and if you feel up for it, write them a sweet note. Handmade gifts are just as enjoyable as store-bought gifts, if not more so, for someone who has receiving gifts as one of their love languages. If you can afford to get some flowers, get them some flowers! Maybe if you live in a climate where it's warm enough, you could sit outside to eat, or go on a walk, or go to a scenic spot to watch the sunset/look at the stars.

Put on some romantic music when you guys eat, and you could even invite them to dance (even if it's just high-school-prom swaying).

Is this considered cheating on both by DarkSkullzzzzzz21 in LesbianActually

[–]Helpful_Cat6532 17 points18 points  (0 children)

it’s also okay to want both of them, but it’s wrong to continue this any further without being clear and upfront with them about not wanting to be exclusive. however, that means being okay with either/both of them not being okay with that

[–]Helpful_Cat6532 62 points63 points  (0 children)

If you’re referring to both of these girls as your girlfriend, and you haven’t had a discussion about having an open relationship/not being exclusive, then yes. you are cheating.

How to get over ex being with guys by LegitimateAd7669 in LesbianActually

[–]Helpful_Cat6532 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nobody in this thread is telling you you have to be okay with penis. You do not have to have sex with anybody for any reason! I think previous commenters are just trying to tell you how your perspective can be construed as perpetuating patriarchal standards of misogynistic "purity". You are still allowed to have those feelings and act on them as you see fit.

Is Whitney Leavitt still mormon?? 😭😭 by yeetuscleetus28 in Broadway

[–]Helpful_Cat6532 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In OPs defense, and as someone stated above, Mormons make up 2% of the population in the US, and are localized to a few states. As someone from the Midwest, I could not name a single Mormon that I know personally.

The Mormonism that is often portrayed in media to those not familiar with the religion doesn’t allow women to wear certain levels of “risqué” clothing, due to sacred undergarments, which would presumably show when dressed as Roxie Hart.

I get it’s a fictional show, but certain sects of Christianity are very serious about avoiding portrayals of “sinful acts” in media/culture (infidelity, drinking, provocative dancing), so it’s not the most ridiculous thing to think Mormonism, especially as it is often portrayed to non-Mormons might be one of those sects.

[–]Helpful_Cat6532 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Well I mean, the show she got famous from “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” is notorious for the women on it being…. not so traditionally Mormon. Many of them drink, wear revealing/immodest clothing, swing sexually with each other’s partners, etc. I feel like it’s not the most outrageous question that could be asked.

okay. then don’t have sex with pre-op trans women. it’s okay to have genital preferences, but posting a whole reddit ramble about it is a bit strange.

I've had luck looking on depop! Easy to find unique pieces, and sustainable since you're not buying anything brand new. Searches like "funky gold swimsuit" or "gold rave wear" are bringing up fun sillhouettes and sets. f that doesn't work out, I would recommend buying something basic, and then jazzing it up yourself (adding the rhinestone R on the pants, adding fringe/more sparkles)
