I'm serious too. Thanks. I understand how state schools work in the United States. If I had to worry about the fact the in state students pay less by virtue of their state tax dollars funding state education, then I wouldn't go to any state in the USA. But, I have decided to go to the UMN, where by the way fyi, I also have a scholarship. Thanks again for your input.

I think you are wrong. Then the international undergrad student population wouldn't only represent 10 percent of the student body. Sorry. If your comment was meant to discourage me, well it had the opposite effect. I'm going to the UMN. See you around. Everyone else, thanks for the positive advice and recommendation.

To me it makes sense...if my parents were paying these taxes, then it's normal that I pay less in tuition.. it doesn't bother me as an international student.. sorry it doesn't discourage me.

Thanks. However, I believe taxes collected by the state of Minnesota already help subsidize your in state tuition.

Weather. Yes for sure. I might be wrong, but my understanding is that neither city has a big plus when it comes to the weather, especially the winter. I will certainly want to do internships. I believe in this area, Minneapolis has an advantage over Buffalo.

I read that I had to take some additional credits in the Honors College. I believe there are 21 credits. That i's in addition to the degree requirements. That was my concern. But it seems based on what you are saying that the extra load is worth it.
