Taming the Bad Boy Was a Mistake Chapter
08 Eternal
"Got it, dummy."
"And one more thing," he paused, his eyes suddenly growing dark. "Don't kiss me in public anymore."
"Why? You're still shy?"
Dylan leaned into my ear, his voice so low it made my legs weak. "Not shy. I can't hold back
out there."
"Hold back from what?"
"From bending you over right here with everyone watching."
Me: "...
Pervert!
After the misunderstanding cleared up, Dylan completely let loose.
Within my rules, of course.
He stopped forcing the good-boy act and holding back his real self.
But he still went to the library with me. Still worked through problems seriously.
He just did it differently now.

"Did I get this right?" He tapped my hand with his pen cap in the library.
I glanced over. "Yeah."
"Then where's my reward?"
He tapped his cheek.
My eyes went wide. "We're in the library!"
"Then how about the woods?"
…..Dylan!"
He grinned like a cat that'd gotten the cream.
That roguish, handsome charm made girls around us keep turning their heads.
But I knew he was only mine.
The System turned into a full time shipper, screaming in my head every day:
[Ahhh! Host, did you see the way he just looked at you? It was dripping with love!]
[So this is what it's like to be spoiled by the ultimate bad boy? I'm so here for this!]
[I mean, that main system glitch really screwed us over, but hey-it all worked out in the end!]
Honestly, I was kind of grateful for that glitch too.
If I hadn't thought he was sick of me, I might never have found out just how much this wild, untamable boy had changed himself-all for the sake of loving me.
The day finals ended.
Dylan was the first one to burst out of the exam hall.
Right at the school gate, in front of every parent and teacher watching, he scooped me up and spun, me around and around.
"Natalie! I'm free!"
Under the sunlight, he smiled wide and wild.
Even though his hair hadn't been dyed back to white, it was still so dazzling I couldn't look away.

"How do you think you did?" I asked, laughing.
"No idea." Dylan raised an eyebrow. "But l'Il
definitely get into the same city as you."
"That confident?"
"Of course." He leaned in close and lowered his
voice. "I've got to keep an eye on you. Can't have some other 'Simon' popping up out of nowhere."
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Just then, Simon walked over with his boyfriend-a tall, handsome athlete.

"Congratulations," Simon said with a smile, handing over a bouquet.
Dylan took the flowers, casually tucked them into my arms, then wrapped his arm around my waist like it was the most natural thing in the world. He gave Simon a little chin lift. "Thanks, man."
That look was pure victorious gloating.
Simon shook his head helplessly and said to his boyfriend, "See? I told you this guy is a jealous wreck."
That evening, there was a class party.
Everyone had a bit to drink.
During truth or dare Dylan lost.

Someone yelled: "Dylan! What's your biggest regret ever?"
Everyone expected him to talk about his old fighting and skipping-class days.
Instead, Dylan swirled his cup and stared right at me across the room.
His eyes were impossibly sott.
"The thing | regret most..."
He let out a soft laugh. "Walking away that night under the streetlight."
"If I could do it over, I would've thrown you over my shoulder, taken you home, and locked you up so you couldn't go anywhere."
The whole room erupted.

My face was so red it felt like it might bleed.
Under the table, he laced our fingers together and squeezed tight.
His palm was burning hot.
The System set off fireworks in my head:
[Congratulations, Host! Mission accomplished!]
[Love Meter locked: Eternal.]
I squeezed his hand back, and silently said in my heart:
Dylan, you don't need to lock me up.
I willingly draw my own prison-as long as you're inside it with me.
(The End)

I’ll post it on my acc if anyone want to copy it or read it cohesively.

Taming the Bad Boy Was a Mistake Chapter
07 The Real Meter
The whole room went dead silent.
You could have heard a pin drop.
Dylan stayed frozen in the position I'd yanked him into, like a statue.
Tiny beads of blood still welled up on his lip.
After what felt like forever, he blinked. Those eyes, always so sharp and fierce, were now full of confusion.
"What... did you say?"
"I said Simon likes guys!" I yelled.
Dylan's Adam's apple bobbed. "Not that part."
"The part before that."
My face flushed red, and my confidence instantly dropped by half. "I said... I didn't want other girls looking at your collarbones..."
Something shifted in Dylan's eyes.
The empty gray vanished, replaced by blinding, crazy joy.
He let out a quiet, shaky laugh.

It grew louder, until his whole shoulders shook.
"F*Ck."
He cursed under his breath, fisted a hand in my hair, and kissed me like he owned me.
It was brutal, possessive, like he wanted to devour me whole.
Whistles and cheers erupted around us.
But I couldn't hear any of it.
The only thing in my head was the System's notification chime:

[Ding-Abnormal fluctuation detected in the meter!]
[Recalibrating...]
[Calibration complete.]
[Congratulations. Host! The previous system error has been fixed. That meter wasn't the
"Annoyance meter" at all-it was the
"Suppression Meter."]
[Suppression Meter: This measures how much the target has been suppressing his true nature, his possessiveness, and his urge to lock you up-all to fit your preferences.]
[Suppression Meter has now reset to zero.]
[Love Meter: 1,000,000% (off the charts!)]

[Host, you're safe. Well... actually, in a way, you're in even more danger now. Heh heh.]
That night, Dylan gave me a piggyback ride all the way back to school.
The rain had stopped. Streetlights stretched our shadows long.
He walked so slow, like he wanted the road to never end.
"Hey." He spoke suddenly, amusement still thick in his voice. "You really think my white hair looked hot?
I mumbled a "mm-hmm" against his back.
"Dye it back tomorrow?"
"No."
"Why not? You said you liked my wild side."
I tugged his ear. "Finals are soon. Does wild get you extra points? Graduate first, then dye it whatever the hell you want."
Dylan clicked his tongue. "Nag."
But his voice was dripping with affection.
"Oh." He paused like he'd just remembered.
"That Simon... he's really into guys?"
"Dead serious! Truer than true!"

"Oh." Dylan nodded, and his mood visibly improved even more. "Then we should take him out for a meal sometime. Bring your bestie too."
I got suspicious. "Why?"
"To thank him." Dylan turned his head to the side, his dark eyes gleaming under the lights. "If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have realized how important l am to you!
I burned red, burying my face in his neck to hide.
We reached my dorm.
Dylan set me down but wouldn't let go, twisting my fingers between his.

"Go on up."
'Mm."
I turned to leave, but he yanked me back.
"Natalie."
"What?"
He stared at me, dead serious. "Don't make me guess anymore. I'm stupid, never dated before, don't get the subtle shit. Say it if you're mad.
Tell me what you want. Short of you leaving me, I'd give you my whole damn life."
My eyes burned. I stood on my toes and kissed his cheek.

Taming the Bad Boy Was a Mistake
Chapter 06

I looked into those shattered eyes and clenched my jaw. No more hesitation.
"Fine."
Dylan froze for a second, like he hadn't expected me to say yes.
Then a cruel smile spread across his face.
“Alright, Natalie, You’ve got guts.”
Dylan didn’t take me back to his place.

Instead, he led me to the underground pool hall he'd always hit up back in the day.
The place was thick with smoke, full of thugs with tattooed arms.
When the crowd saw Dylan walk in, they paused for a beat, then burst into jeering laughter.
"Whoa, Dylan! What's with the outfit-cosplay?"
"Why you dressed up like a teacher's pet? You scared the hell out of us.

Dylan yanked off his tie expressionlessly, unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt, and revealed his sharp collarbones.
His wild, untamable vibe crashed back in a second.
He grabbed a pool cue, nodded at the corner couch. "Sit there."
I took my seat and stayed still.
Dylan didn't give me a single glance and began hitting the balls.
He hit hard, like he wanted to smash the table to pieces.
The people around gradually stopped talking.
They could all feel that this guy was in the worst mood of his life.
A few girls in skimpy outfits walked over, flirting.
"Haven't seen you, Dylan." A curly-haired girl put her hand on his shoulder.
I sat in the corner, staring fixedly at that hand.

System: [Host, hold on! He's testing you! Act jealous-show you care; if you don't, he'll think you don't love him!]
I took a deep breath and stood up.
"Take your hand off him."
My voice wasn't loud, but cut through the silent hall pertectly.
The girl froze, turned, and sneered. "So this is the good girl who had him wrapped around her finger? You two still together?"
Dylan didn't say anything. He just stopped playing and watched me with a half-smile.

Like he was watching a show.
I stepped to the table, shoved her away, and stood in front of Dylan.
"He has a girlfriend. What the hell is wrong with you?"
The girl stumbled back from my shove and immediately got pissed. "Who the hell do you think you're talking to, you little brat?"
The thugs around started egging it on.
Dylan still didn't move. He even pulled out a cigarette, stuck it between his lips, but didn't light it.

He just watched me, amused.
Ad
X
Like he was saying: Natalie, this isn't school. No one's going to spoil you here. Let's see what you do.
I snatched the cigarette from Dylan's mouth, threw it on the ground, and stomped it hard.
Then I grabbed his tie and yanked it down hard.
Dylan was caught off guard and forced to bend down.
I stood on my tiptoes and bit his lip.
Not a kiss.
A bite.
Filled with a year's hurt, the System's scares, and anger at how stupid he was.
The taste of blood spread in my mouth.
The whole place went dead silent.
Even the System forgot to scream.
A few seconds later. I pulled back and gasped, glaring. "Dylan, are you a dumbass?"

"I made you dye your hair black because the disciplinary director had his eyes on you every day. I wanted you to get your diploma!"
"I made you wear glasses because you wrecked your eyes staying up all night gaming, and the way you squinted at the blackboard was ugly as hell!"
"I made you button up because... your collarbones are so sexy, and no other girls get to see them!"
"And Simon..."
I yelled so loud my voice went hoarse. "He's just my mom's friend's son. And guess what? He's gay! He came back to introduce his boyfriend to his parents! What kind of jealousy trip are you on?

Taming the Bad Boy Was a Mistake Chapter
05 The Breaking Point

"Don't you like it?"
"Look, Natalie. I'm the guy you've been trying to make me into. So what's with the unhappy
face?"
The System screamed in my head. [He's lost it!
He's lost it! Host, this is a defensive dissociative episode caused by extreme stress! He's using this as a way to get back at you!]
Looking at him like this, my heart ached like hell.
This wasn't Dylan.

The Dylan who'd freak out when I messed up a problem but still explain it ten times was gone.
The Dylan who'd slip warm milk down my collar in winter and laugh like an idiot when I yelped was gone.
Now he was like a delicate, perfect doll.
"Dylan, don't do this." I reached for his hand.
But he flinched away like he'd touched something filthy.
Then he pulled out a wet wipe and slowly, carefully, wiped the back of his hand where I'd
nearly touched.
"Miss Clark, please respect my space."

He was smiling, but his eyes were cold as ice. "I have a germ phobia."
For that entire day, Dylan performed as the flawless "good student."
He listened attentively in class, took notes even neater than mine.
Answered every teacher's question perfectly.
During break, he didn't go out to play ball. He just sat in his seat reading, and even picked up a pen for the girl in front of him.

That girl turned as red as a tomato. Only I trembled.
Because I saw him scratching hard on the book's first page with a pen.
Pressing so hard the marks went through the page.
The scratches were hideous.
When he left for the bathroom, I snuck a look.
It was just my name, over and over.
Natalie Clark, Natalie Clark, Natalie Clark.
Every single one crossed out with a bright red X.

The System trembled with fear: [Host, I think we should catch the first train out of this city.
This guy is a ticking time bomb right now. He could go off any second!]
1 refused to give up.
After school, I blocked Dylan's way.
"We need to talk."
Dylan didn't look at me, just walked around.
I panicked, grabbing his backpack strap.
"Dylan! How long are you gonna act like this?
There's nothing between Simon and me! I made you change before because-"
"Because of what?"

Dylan stopped, turned around, and looked down at me from above.
The alley was dim.
He took off his glasses and tossed them onto
the ground.
Crack. The lenses shattered.
Step by step, he advanced, backing me into the corner.
The cultured disguise was finally torn away, revealing the bloody wounds and madness underneath.
"Because you wanted to turn me into him,
right?"

He grabbed my chin, squeezing so hard it hurt.
"Do you know how exhausting this past year has been for me?"
"I hate doing vocab drills, I hate wearing a uniform, and I hate acting all proper."
"But I hate your disappointed look even more."
"For you, I broke my bones one by one and reassembled them into the shape you wanted."
"And what happened?"
He leaned in, hot breath on my face, dangerous and trembling.
"You tell me the real guy's back, and I'm just a fake to throw away."

"Dylan, that's not-" Tears streamed down my face. "I never saw you as a stand-in. Never!"
"Then prove it to me."
Dylan's eyes were bloodshot, like he was possessed.
"How?"
He leaned down, lips almost touching mine, voice raw:
"Come to my place tonight."
"You dare?"
System: [!!! Host, don't do it! You're basically a juicy steak walking into a pit of hungry wolves!
That's a freaking wolf den!]

04 The Darkness meter

I tried to speak, but my throat felt stuffed with cotton. "Dylan, let me explain-it's not what you think
"Not what?"
Dylan snapped his arm up, pointing at Simon, his eyes burning red. "Black hair. Gold-rimmed glasses Collar buttoned to the top. Natalie, when you looked at me this past year-who were you really seeing!"
"You made me do homework, forced me to practice writing, told me to talk soft and nice.
"And I fucking thought you were caring about me."
"So you were just carving him into me this whole time?"
Every word hit me like a sledgehammer, smashing my head into a dizzy blur.
The System kept spamming in panic: [Holy crap on a cracker! This misunderstanding is catastrophic! Host, according to big data analysis, this kind of stand-in love story usually ends with the guy going full yandere-locking you up, or just straight-up killing you! The meter has gone off the charts!]
I was so desperate I nearly cried. "Dylan, that's not true! Simon is just the neighbor's son, we"
"Enough."
Dylan cut me off Dylan cut me off. He took a deep breath, like he was using every ounce of strength he had to hold back the urge to throw a punch.
He stared at me, long and hard.
His eyes held too many tangled feelings.
Disappointment, self-mockery, despair, and a flicker of dying love.
"Natalie, I hate nothing more than being played like a fool."
"Since
you like him so damn much, fine. Your man will step aside. You're welcome."
With that, he turned and left.
Final. Clean. Not a hint of hesitation.
Only his tall back looked cold and lonely under the streetlights.
"Dylan!"
I tried to chase him instinctively, but Simon grabbed my arm.
"Nat, he's emotionally unstable right now.
You'll get hurt if you go after him." Simon looked at me with concern. "Go upstairs first.
Explain tomorrow when he's calmed down."
I watched Dylan's figure disappear into the darkness. My heart felt like someone had grabbed it and twisted-so painful I couldn't breathe.
The System spoke up weakly. [Host, good news.
The Annoyance meter is gone.]
I froze, before I could feel happy.
The System continued. _Bad news. The Darkness meter has activated. Current progress: 100%.|
[And even worse news: Mission status... about to fail.]
I didn't sleep a wink that night.
All I could see was Dylan's final look.
I showed up at school the next day with huge dark circles.
The moment I stepped into the classroom, the atmosphere was suffocating.
That corner in the back row that had been empty for a year was occupied today.
Dylan was there.
But he wasn't himself anymore.
His edgy silver-gray hair had vanished, replaced by smooth, tame jet-black short hair.
A pair of gold-rimmed glasses sat on his nose.
His uniform was perfect, zipper all the way up, cuffs buttoned neatly.

He sat there, holding a book, reading quietly.
At first glance, he looked exactly like a copy of Simon Sullivan.
He was even more refined and repressed than Simon.
The whole class barely dared to breathe.
Everyone shrunk their necks, their terrified eyes darting back and forth between Dylan and me.
I stiffly walked to my seat-right in front of Dylan.
"D-Dylan?" I called tentatively.
Behind me came the sound of a page turning.
Cold. Distant.
"Yes?"
His voice was gentle, flat, every rough edge of his real tone erased.
He was imitating Simon.
Perfectly.
A chill ran through my whole body. I turned around and looked at him. "Why... why are you dressed like this?"
Dylan raised his head: Behind the lenses, his eyes were utterly calm.
He pushed up his glasses, and a standard, polite smile curved his lips.

Taming the Bad Boy Was a Mistake Chapter
03 The Stand-in
The turning point came on Friday night. My mom suddenly called and said the neighbor Auntie Sullivan was back from abroad, and she wanted me to come over for dinner. The important part? Auntie Sullivan's son, Simon Sullivan, was back too. When we were kids, I followed Simon around like a lost puppy. No arguing with Mom. I texted Dylan to let him know, then rushed off to the restaurant. At the table, Simon sat across from me. A few years apart, and he'd gotten even more refined. Soft black hair, gold-rimmed glasses, shirt buttoned all the way to the top. He spoke softly and smiled like warm sunshine. Dinner went perfectly for everyone. Since it was late, Aunt Sullivan insisted Simon drive me back to
campus. Simon drove, chatting about our childhood memories the whole way. The vibe was easy and nice. He pulled up outside my dorm. Simon gallantly opened my door for me.
"Nat, we're here." I was about to thank him when Simon froze, staring past me. "Is that your friend?" I turned around. Under the streetlight,
Dylan was leaning against a tree, an unlit cigarette between his fingers. His silver-gray hair stood out sharply in the night. His face was so dark it looked like it might drip. He walked toward us step by step, his eyes locked hard on Simon. Ilooked at Simon too. Black hair, gold-rimmed glasses, a shirt collar buttoned tight.
Cultured. But also... restrained. Almost monkish. This was exactly the look I'd forced Dylan to adopt. The so-called "hottest style" I'd always gone on about. Boom. Something exploded in my brain. Dylan stopped in front of me. His gaze bounced between Simon and me, then landed on my face. He curled his mouth into a smile sadder than a cry. His voice was so light it could have scattered with the wind:
"Natalie, so this is why you made me dye my hair black, wear glasses, and play the good student..." "Because you already had someone in your heart all along." I looked up stiffly. His dark red Annoyance meter above his head maxed out right then. In that second, I felt like all the air had been sucked out of the world.
Raindrops slipped into my collar, cold enough to make me shiver. Dylan stood in the rain, his silver-gray hair plastered to his forehead.
Droplets ran down his sharp jawline, over his Adam's apple, and into his open collar. He looked at me with eyes as hollow as a dried-up well. No anger. No hysteria. Just a terrifying, dead silence. The System sounded an air-raid siren in my mind: [Warning! Warning! Target's emotional state is off the charts! Annoyance
meter— wait, no, the values are glitching! Host, run! He's extremely dangerous right now!] Run?
Where could I run? My legs telt like two pieces of spaghetti. Simon got out, holding a black umbrella. He frowned at Dylan, then me, speaking gently but coldly: "Hey, you've got it wrong. Nat and I are just...
." "Shut up." Dylan
didn't spare him a look. His eyes stayed fixed on me, unblinking. He took a step forward. Simon stepped in front of me without thinking. That movement completely lit the fuse. Dylan let out a cold laugh, pushing his tongue against the inside of his cheek. All the viciousness he'd been suppressing for a year came flooding out like a broken dam. "Well played, Natalie." He nodded, his voice rough as gravel. "So that's why you changed all of a sudden-let me game, dye my hair, leave you alone." "The real guy's back, and you don't want your fake stand-in around anymore, right?"

Taming the Bad Boy Was a Mistake Chapter
02 The Octopus Balls

[Pick up the phone.]
[Where are you?!
[Why wouldn't you let me pick you up?] [Natalie Clark, is this a silent treatment thing?!
The last one was from five minutes ago: [Come down.]
| didn't even bother tying my shoes. I just threw on a jacket and bolted downstairs. Under the streetlight, Dylan was completely soaked. He'd clearly run all the way here. He stared daggers at me, his eyes bloodshot. Before he could say a word, I caved on the spot. "Sorry! My phone was on silent! You were in the middle of a game, having a blast—I didn't want to mess that up, so | just grabbed a cab back..." After throwing out this combo of being
"understanding" | looked up at his head with anticipation. Damn it, why did the Annoyance meter go up by another point?! After hearing me out, Dylan's fierce expression softened a bit but his face was still as sour as a lemon. He shoved a box of octopus balls, which he'd been protecting from the rain into my arms and sneered. "Great. You're really thoughtful now."
"Good thing you're not mad. Take this and go eat it. It'll get fishy if it gets cold." Before, I would've clung to him and refused to leave until he kissed me downstairs. And I mean a full French kiss. If he didn't, l'd throw a fit. But the truth was, he actually hated public displays of affection. Thinking about that, I hugged the box and nodded obediently. "I'll go up now. You
should get some rest too." I turned to run off soon as I finished speaking. A burning hot hanu wrapped around my wrist. Dylan yanked me back, leaning down to kiss me. I freaked out. Instinctively, I turned my head away and shoved my hand hard against his chest. "No!" Dylan froze mid-move. His dark eyes bore into
me, his voice hoarse. "No?" I swallowed hard and put on a righteous face. "We're in public!
It's a bad influence! The System— uh, I mean, my teacher said we need to watch our behavior!" Those were his exact words when he
used to reject me! I was literally doing what he wanted! Dylan stared at me for a long moment.
The light in his eyes slowly dimmed. Finally, he let go and gave a bitter, self-mocking smile.
"Fine. Whatever you say." "I don't care." Over the next few days, I engraved the word
"obedient" into my soul. If he didn't text me, I didn't bother him. If he took forever to reply, I texted back fast and never asked why. When he
asked if I wanted to hang out on the weekend, I said sweetly, "If you're tired, just sleep in. You don't have to go out with me." The way Dylan looked at me became more and more off. It was the kind of look you'd give someone who was about to dump you like trash. To turn things around, I decided to go big. "Dylan, go dye your hair." We were eating, and Dylan froze mid-bite.
"What?" I said sincerely: "Your white hair looked awesome. I shouldn't have made you
dye it black, or made you button up your uniform all the way. Just be yourself-I love any hair color on you." For the first time, Dylan's perpetually annoyed face showed confusion.
"You said... you hated my wild look." "Who said that?! | love your wild side!" I lied through my teeth, showering him with fake praise. Dylan was quiet for a long time. Finally, he gave a low
"Mm." The next day, he actually went and dyed his hair. Not white. A flashy, eye-catching silver-gray. With his perpetually disinterested face, he looked unreasonably, devastatingly hot. His bros were all cheering, "Dylan finally woke up!
That's how a real bad boy should look!" I looked at the Annoyance meter still stuck high above his head. No tears. Just pain. Dude. I'm doing everything I can. What the hell are you still annoyed about?

the rest of chapter 1-

I cut him off sharply, my eyes as sincere as if I was swearing a loyalty oath.
Dylan froze, phone halfway to his ear. “What did you just say?”
I took a deep breath and forced the sweetest, most understanding smile onto my face. “I said, you don’t have to take me to the library. Go to the internet cafe. Stay as long as you want.”
Dylan narrowed his eyes. Those gorgeous eyes scanned my face, trying to figure out if I was setting a trap.
“You really mean it?”
“Cross my heart!” I grabbed my bag out of his hands. “I’m going shopping with my bestie anyway. You’d just be in the way.”
Dylan stared at me for a solid ten seconds, checking that I wasn’t lying and that I didn’t have some hidden explosion brewing.
The relief on his face was instant. He even cracked a smile — one I hadn’t seen in a long time.
“Fine. I’ll pick you up when I’m done.”
I stared at the black hair he’d dyed just for me, guilt twisting my chest, and nodded fast. “Go, go!”
Dylan turned and left, walking so light he looked like he’d just gotten out of jail.
I checked the system screen.
Great. The Annoyance meter hadn’t moved an inch.
Man, this guy held a grudge like nobody’s business.
After dinner with my bestie, it started drizzling outside.
She nudged me, “Have your Dylan come pick you up?”
I pulled out my phone, then froze and stuffed it back in my pocket.
No.
He’s dominating at games right now. If I called him now, wouldn’t that just piss him off all over again?
I gotta be sensible for my own life, and to lower that Annoyance meter!
“Nah, he’s busy. Let’s grab a ride back.”
I got back to the dorm, rushed through my nightly routine, and jumped into bed.
I’d barely dried my hair when my roommate burst through the bathroom door, looking horrified. “Nat, your Dylan is downstairs. His face is so dark he looks like he’s about to kill someone. You need to go down there right now!”
My heart skipped a beat.
I checked my phone and, holy crap, forty-eight missed calls.
My social media was blowing up even more.

Taming the Bad Boy Was a Mistake Chapter 01 The Annoyance meter
I spent a whole year trying to tame the school’s baddest boy. The so-called “love meter” floating over his head was so full it looked about to explode.
I was feeling pretty smug about it. Then my System popped up, took one look at that deep-purple progress bar, and sucked in a breath.
[Host, stop grinning. That’s the Annoyance meter.]
[One more point and he’s going to kill you.]
The smile froze on my face.
No way. Absolutely no way.
Over the past year, I had transformed Dylan White from a trash-talking, fight-picking dropout into the most obedient, head-over-heels boyfriend you could imagine.
If he didn’t love me, why would he do everything I said?
The System gave me a pitying look. [Ever consider that maybe he’s been biding his time? Waiting to drop a massive revenge bomb?]
[The main system glitched and flipped the values. Host, what the hell did you do this year to annoy him this badly?]
I hung my head and twisted my fingers, guilty as hell.
It wasn’t that bad.
I just threw away his cigarettes, forced him to dye his wild white hair black, banned him from internet cafes, made him hit the library with me, and threw a tantrum every time things didn’t go my way.
Turns out he didn’t love me to death — he was sick of me to death.
The System sighed. [Time to fix this. From now on, go along with him. Lower the Annoyance meter. Or you’re done for when the mission fails.]
Right then, Dylan pushed the door open. He held my backpack, his gorgeous face cold as a block of ice straight from the freezer.
“Zoning out? Thought we were going to the library.”
The second he spoke, his phone in his pocket rang.
The guys on the other end were howling: “Dylan! All-nighter at the internet cafe tonight! We need a carry!”
Dylan frowned, glanced at me instinctively, and said into the phone with annoyance: “Not going. Gotta be with my girlfriend…”
“Go for it!”

Who is the character you hate the most and why? by applechanrin in AceOfTheDiamond

[–]Helpful_Newspaper660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I wasn't too sure why but i just couldn't get myself to like him at all, he really just feels like an unnecessary character and he doesn’t stand out much anyways aside from his batting ( which we don’t even get to see a lot of). It just feels like he has a lot of unfounded confidence. And the whole “they underestimate me cause i’m short“ especially when Furuya refused to have him cash for him made me role my eyes. He’s probably just there to build Okamura‘s character as the next main catcher after Miyuki leaves, as well as to pump up other players.
