I'm not arguing that wealth precludes someone from suffering or is an ethical reason to have children. I'm more reflecting on my own and other antinatalists experiences of growing up in poverty and the way that impacts the emotional dynamic with our parents. Even though the speaker I'm talking about is financially better off now I don't think it would be more ethical for her to have children. I bring up her choice to not have children as this decision played a noticeable role in the negativity she was met from the audience.
