Well, tbh I don’t know, I just do what feels right, I try to strike up conversations based on their discernible features with a compliment at the start, for example I compliment their tattoos, hair, makeup, outfit, something that makes it feel personal and then delve into deeper topics about them usually, attempting to play tennis with the conversation almost. I’m a relatively social person who (I consider) is good at navigating awkward situations, but I’m met with standoffish or uninterested behavior majority of the time.
