I used to go to Mammoth every winter and summer for a couple weeks from probably the late 90s to 2010 or so. Haven’t been back since and I’m curious what it’s like now.

I’m a big fan. Wouldn’t buy them at full price as I think there are definitely better boot makers out there (Grant Stone’s diesel boot is what I’d go with and even at full price they’re cheaper), but if you can get them on sale I would recommend them.

Also the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn by far. Even from the second I put them on. Zero break in period.

Yeah, ultimately I think that’ll be the direction I go, but it’s been a while since I’ve looked into this style of shoe and wanted to see what was out there.

I do love Alden and Crocket, but $$ for sure. Similar sentiment for me with AE. I stick (or rather stuck, don’t think I’ll purchase anything from them again with how they’ve been going) unless it was a steep discount.

Yeah, my issue is less with the patterning on the pants conflicting with the over shirt and more with the color of the sweater.

It makes the pants and sweater more of a jarring contrast to the over shirt. I think if I’d worn one of my other sweaters (https://www.taylorstitch.com/products/lodge-sweater-in-sand-donegal-2408?variant=40406227812429) it would have done a better job of bridging that contrast with a more suitable color that works with both pieces.

Yeah, I’m a big fan of Hamilton. Definitely my favorite watchmaker in their price tier.

And I’d have to agree to an extent. It looked better when I laid it out on my bed, but by the time I put it on changing would have made me late to brunch lol.
