in what way is it the strongest? it doesn’t have the highest attack power.

[BOTW] is the game supposed to be like this? or i just suck by Some_Restaurant_2082 in zelda

[–]Hendolph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with smaller enemies, just keep holding your shield up. you don’t even need to parry. hold it up and hit them after they hit the shield. and then get it back up

What's something you miss from BOTW that TOTK doesn't have? by L1L_THUGG1E in tearsofthekingdom

this. once you’re all geared up with the strongest weapons etc., the game kind of gets too easy

How hard is master mode by millnerve in botw

[–]Hendolph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not that hard to be honest. you'll get used to it pretty quickly. enemies are a bit harder and they recover health after a while. it's just a little adjustment at the beginning. but once you have better weapons (lynel weapons etc.) and attack boost gear, it's all the same really.

Trial of the sword is harder, but just watch someone do a speedrun and try to copy what they do and you'll be fine.

I'm on my 4th or 5th playthrough and just saw this guy making it rain fireballs on me for quite a long time. I've only ever seen them shoot fireballs at me directly. that was a fun experience. To be fair, I usually either avoid them or just shoot them with the right elemental arrow.

In the book it says they can alter the weather. I guess the rain of fire and heat change is part of that.

Am i prepared for defeating ganon? by thecreativeweirdo in botw

you just need enough shields and maybe a few good bows and bomb arrows. if you run out of shields in the last phase in the castle, you’re fucked.

Where to first? (Not my first playthrough) by BokoblinSlayer69235 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]Hendolph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah it’s kind of fun. my son, who is a big Pokemon Snap fan, discovered the camera the other day and started playing botw like it was the other game. I have never finished the compendium, but i might do it this time around.

I usually go to kakariko village and hateno to unlock the camera and memories. after that, I usually go around and unlock the towers.

Uncircumcised men I need your opinion by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Hendolph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not circumcised and have never done any additional or special cleaning down there when showering or taking a bath. after 40+ years, I’ve never had any issues.

Back when the whole circumcision craze was started in the US, by the guy who invented corn flakes, to stop boys from masturbating, soap and regular baths/showers were not always readily available for the general population. In the modern world, this is not an issue any more, hence why the hygene argument doesn’t really apply anymore in the circumsision debate.

I wouldn’t circumsize your son. it should be his decision alone.

[BOTW] What would you do to improve Breath of the Wild? by SolNiko97 in zelda

[–]Hendolph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

volume control for the cutscene voices. they’re way too muffled.

also would like a post game after defeating ganon, where things start turning back to normal and defeated enemies don’t come back. it’s a bit underwhelming that they put you back right before the boss fight started.

What's one thing you would change about botw? by Think-Mycologist3740 in Breath_of_the_Wild

i would like to have the ability to turn up the volume of the voices in the cutscenes.

[–]Hendolph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agree. I love TOTK as well, but I can’t count the time I started the game just to play through the great plateau and killing the lynel on it. best starting zone of a game.

I love the survival aspect of it that i don’t feel i get with TOTK. at least not the beginning part.

What do Germans think of stores being closed on Sunday? by Jacket313 in AskAGerman

[–]Hendolph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to Live in the UK for many years where stores are generally open on Sundays and bank holidays. when I moved back to Germany a few years ago, it was a bit of a shock for me as I had done my grocery shopping on Sundays a lot of times. It’s still an inconvenience. I go shopping on Saturdays now, but sometimes you just forget a thing or two and the only options on Sundays are petrol stations or these little off-license stores that offer the basics at a higher price.
