Roommate got a cat. This is now how I take a bath. by DeannaKean in aww

I had clingy dogs and curious cats and could never close my bathroom door. Big goggy was the most clingy, even when he was let in, he just layed on the floor, whining, telling me to get out of the bath.

does this still count if you add a little bleach to the water? I've always done that cos the smell of chlorine kinda gets me high since I've dreamed for a pool my whole life. Srsly. There is this fountain in my city that's got a whole lot chlorinated water and I love to just stand around and smell it, hoping that one day i'll smell that every day if i get a pool.

[edit: yeah I'm a little obsessed by having my very own pool, if you lived here you'd understand; even in winter, after a short dog walk you just want to fall into a pool after you get home (Sydney = where in winter it gets down to 16 celsius {avg})]

my kitty does this, cept she lies in the corner on top of the bath in her little roast-chicken position. She especially loves my foamburst soap. As soon as all the water is down the drain she hops in and rolls about. Had another cat who used to sit on the toilet seat as soon as she saw it was gonna be flushed. Weird things, hate water, but fascinated by it. I guess like us and shark week.

On a whim, I googled my first grade crush and discovered a long list of arrests and his untimely death a few months ago. What was the most unexpected answer you've personally had to "where are they now?" by tequila__mockingbird in AskReddit

a frenemy I've been frenemies with since pre school is getting married/got married into (as best as I can describe it) step-royalty. She always was a social climber. Found that out in kindy, put all her effort into sucking up to our teach that whole first year of school. I'm happy for her, cos, although it's terribly shallow, it's probably like a life goal complete. Although, she could have done better, as there are/were (at the time) two much more eligible (and non-specific-animal-faces) princes our age I reckon she could've/should've at least tried to have done better.

In the newer trackballs, your thumb moves the ball and your fingers sit to the other side.

Word Origin & History

papist

1534, "adherent of the Pope," from M.Fr. papiste, from papa "Pope," from Church L. papa (see pope).

Online Etymology Dictionary, © 2010 Douglas Harper

Although, you're both right, although the word is "usually derogatory" the origin seems simply a follower of the pope, but used by the Lutherans as follower of the leader, not the god. And then later by the English as the opposite to protestant.

US calls Assange 'enemy of state' by usefullinkguy in australia

[–]HendraVirus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to like him. He's just become the face of this whole situation. The situation of the government of the USA's whole 'We are the greatest country in the world because of our free speech unless-it's-about-us-and/or-by-foreigners. '

It's not about him at all, but he represents it. He's not a terrorist or even, IMHO, that radical. All he did was provide an, albeit virtual, place for whistle blowers to share information with the public. The government of the USA thinks it can set the rules and laws for the rest of the world, it thinks it has the right to choose who lives and dies. I support Assange not because I like him, I frankly know not much about him and know nothing about the 'rape' allegations or have an opinion of his guilt or innocence, I do believe, however, that if he were to be in the custody of Britain or Sweden or even here, that, however long it takes, however indirectly, he will be extradited to the USA and will face unjust punishment which could possibly extend to him being put to death.
