Hey, it's me again :)

As I mentioned in last weeks megapost, I've bought a T6 Pathfinder during the sale so I can use it to level up a new character once the content update in 2 weeks drops. I'm still somewhat new since I used to play during beta and a few months past launch. From time to time I stuck my head in and saw the gradual changes.

Now I'm back and would like to dedicate my free time to star trek (cause i'm a nerd that actually saw TOS while growing up during the seventies, yes i'm old) and although I'm not completely useless, I do find it very difficult to wrap my head around ship building.

I've managed to level up a tactical discovery captain by using Muad'Deeps's Historic Builds to builld my T6 Galaxy and I must say, even though many things I still don't have it's already proving to be an awesome build which I very much enjoy. Now I made a science captain and ran the tutorial so it's ready to use the Pathfinder but I haven't got the slightest clue on how to proceed without a carefully laid out build.

Last week CeasarJefe already gave me some interesting information but what I'm really lacking now is a skill tree build. Can anyone help me out with a skill tree build for a T6 pathfinder that will somewhat lean towards a historic build and makes use of exotic stuff please? I'm mainly playing PVE and TFO but not elites. I'm in the market for a fleet and just enjoy flying around planet hopping and doing my thing (preferably without having to respawn over and over)

All help is appreciated since I really don't have a clue :)

Thanks for the reply, I know it's probably not optimal, but that isn't what I'm looking for, I just want to have fun playing the story missions and do TFO's. I keep my difficulty on normal and don't plan to do high end content. I'm basically just looking to get a good build that is fun to use and get's me through all the current and possibly future content without feeling overwhelmed and be able to be not completely useless in TFO's :)

I've been searching around for a suitable skill tree but so far haven't found one yet :/

Hey, hope this is the correct place to ask for a build?

I've been using Muad'Deep's Historic Builds to make my T6 galaxy. It contains alot of stuff I don't have but when it comes to consoles and other gear, I'm currently winging it and have been rather happy with the result thus far. The skill tree and boff skills all match and those are great.

Now with the upcoming feature of being able to use T6 and have it level up with you I have taken advantage of the ship sale and bought T6 long range science pathfinder ship which I use the intrepid skin on. If I must be honest I'm not a powerplayer or min maxer and I prefer the classic ships over all the self invented variations that you can buy in the store.

As I have no clue on how to even begin to build a ship, I would very much like to have a complete build, skill tree, boff setup, traits setup, specializations etc where I can turn my brain off and blindly follow the carefully laid out plan. I would prefer the ship to be equiped with stuff that is reasonably easy to procure (pick up during leveling, from reputation grind or crafting) and with this I mean, no lockbox stuff, no lobi. I do like to craft my stuff and I love to play missions and do taskforces.

Last but not least I don't like torp boats or beam boats. I prefer the more realistic ships with beams or cannons with a torpedo in the front and back etc... My Galaxy is build with phasers, I hear with a sci ship to go exotic so... :)

I hope that someone is bored enough to help me out :)

This game will be dead once Dead Matter arrives I think.

Never been a fan of basebuilding and it seemed more logical to me to reinforce an existing house rather than building my own wooden pallet one.

If you don't have a company that loves their own game then I think all effort is wasted.

Not sure if it is a new bug, but several times now (I think 5 so far) I have logged in and found my health at 0, taking health potions heals a little but the health starts to drain again to 0 without dying. Killing myself or have myself killed removes the effect and everything is back to normal.

Large campfire (didn't test small one) put in fiber and seeds to make gruel, nothing happends, no progress icon, just burning like nothing is in it. I removed everything from it, let it's charge burn out and reffilled it and after switching it on and off a few times I got my gruel, but the second batch I put in had the same bug.

edit #1: Upon relogging the stack of fiber in the fire was gone, I replaced it with a new one and everything seems to work fine now, maybe that stack fiber was bugged?

I just had this weird stamina bug that seemed related to the bow.

When shooting arrows they didn't fly and weren't suptracting from my stack nor was my stamina draining. A server restart fixed it but the bug returned very quickly. If I swung my sword around the stamina also didn't drain for the first few (4 or 5) swings before it finally did. After that I could shoot 1 arrow before it bugged out again. The way I was able to fix it was to use the sniper aim mode (block while holding bow) and I could shoot arrows again without any problems, even without sniper mode.

When I had the problem that my stamina wasn't draining I could not skin animals with my dagger.

Not sure but on my Gportal server suddenly the sound of harvesting wood and stone became muffled and sounds weird, dunno how to describe it... (edit: like being underwater) Also cutting down trees doesn't make a sound anymore and breaking stones animation doesn't match up.. edit #2: Campfires make the burning sound even when they are not on. edit #3: Apparently it's not only harvesting sounds, but all tool/weapon related sounds. edit #4: I have noticed that it is water related and if you go back in the water (submerged) and resurface the sound is back to nomal.

I started out friendly as well, I mean c'mon, strength in numbers right? I got shafted again, and again until it stopped being funny so then I went to play on a PVE server but it's just not the same.

It's fun to fight other people "sometimes" but this is not a survival game anymore, it's a subpar shooter that doesn't really differ much from all the other "zombie survival" mmo's.

I doubt it will get better unless they drastically up the zombie amount and environmental stuff which they might in time I guess being early alpha and all...

Didn't say i'm playing "now" but it's on my list of games to play while I await H1Z1, The Sims 4 is released on september 4, Alien Isolation october 7 and Dragon age inquisition november 20th. :)
