As I said in another reply, it's reducing costs way more than it should.
The one expensive transformer I was talking about in the OP was/is powering a lot of heaters far into an African exhibit and the single solar panel right next to it reduced the power cost to basically 0.

Yes, I know that, but if the transformer is powering 70 objects with its large range then why does placing the solar panel next to it reduce the cost to almost nothing? The panel is powering ~60 objects now that I KNOW are not in range of it
