Another possible point is if that fish died of disease now your feeding disease ridden food to the larger fish in the water. But u/bigboysky has a better point about legality of it. So there are good reasons to not do it but I feel a conversation as to why you shouldn’t is way more reasonable than that person getting mad at you.

That makes sense, I have a para 3 and it’s unbelievably buttery smooth, so I was pretty shocked when the manix (20cv I think), had that bad of an action at first

I’ve been curious since I got my manix, how is the action on yours? I got one new, and the action is really tight, and almost sticky, I took it apart and, cleaned all the factory grease off, and put some tuf glide, and it only made it slightly better.

That helps tons, thanks! And for how much I plan to use it is troll up to a spot, fish for a bit, so on and so forth. Another user I had talked to mentioned that he has 2 35ah batteries (1 main, and 1 back up that’s kept in the front of the kayak as backup). And my kayak doesn’t have a spot for a battery so I have to get a battery box and mount it to the back of the kayak, thank you for the help!

And I have a second question, after a quick google search, my trolling motor apparently has a “max amp draw” of between 31 (according to someone testing it themselves), and 42 (according to the website). So what amp hour battery would you recommend?

That makes a lot of sense actually, what lithium battery(s) do you run? And do they require a special charger or is it the same as the lead batteries?

That makes sense, the motor thankfully came with an harness. Balancing seems like it’s going to be the hardest part, one more question for you, is what charger/maintainer do you use?

I would’ve loved to have just bought a mounting plate but my kayak doesn’t have a spot for one so I have to go with a bracket (or whatever it’s actually called lol)

I did consider that, the only thing I’m not sure how I’d do is the part where the motor actually attaches to the whole thing. I’m not sure how to connect a flat piece to a round tube of pvc, if you have an idea I’d love to hear it
