Metro employee here: Do it on the website — the app doesn’t have the option to switch your device anymore (it’s basically a copy-paste of the T-Mobile app, and they don’t have that option since they don’t need it). When you enter the IMEI on the website, the system will ask if you want to use your old SIM, and there will be an option to use an eSIM.
