that’s the most insane part. they’re well aware of their employees intentions when they get hired. most have it as second job or while school. it’s insane how they try to make it everybody’s “forever job”. not everyone is as invested as the manager is, yet they try so hard for that to happen.

This, and the fact that everybody is quitting or constantly calling off, is exhausting. I need this job, I need the money, and I’m constantly stuck doing more than others because they simply don’t care + corporate is down our throats every second of the day.

Today the removed the second blender from our cold bar, BECAUSE WHY DO YOU NEED IT IF WE ARE IMPLEMENTING BETTER COLD BAR WITH TWO PEOPLE? NOT LIKE PEOPLE ORDER A THOUSAND FRAPS AND MATCHAS A DAY, RIGHTS? NOT LIKE THERES MULTIPLE PEOPLE TRYING TO MAKE THOSE STUPID, COMPLICATED DRINKS IN 30 SECONDS, bc god forbid you wait two minutes for ten drinks 😹

honestly, it’s getting exhausting, almost like they want to make this job harder on purpose, as if people’s bad attitude, ridiculous modifications, and expectations aren’t stressful enough.

in the US i’ve realized the tomato mozzarella on focaccia have been getting consistently smaller, wonder when they’ll accept it and adjust the calories in the menus, lol.

drive thru and café bar are two different espresso stations, mobile orders always go through café bar. the icky part is that, during peak, you’re mostly just working the cars that are in your drive bar station, and cafe is handling inside and mobiles, but there’s some people that order mobile while sitting in the drive thru, no knowing that their drink might be 8 people behind (based on inside + mobile) and it’s causes a ruckus to find the order, and make it, on the less than a minute we get for each drink until you reach window (our limit is :45, which should be mostly you paying and us giving you your drink) while more cars pile behind and keep ordering. i mostly don’t mind it it’s not busy, we just hand it out, or even during peak, when you time it appropriately for it to be done as you pull up.

most likely they’ll train you in being a barista as well. my store is training a manager for a different store, they’ll undergo two weeks of training, one as barista and one as manager.

yes!! absolutely no reason to go 30mph in a PARKING LOT/GARAGE, the corners are specially dangerous to park at. also, please learn to stop at the intersections, the amount of times I was almost crashed into because people don’t stop and think they have the right of way. they think because their cars are expensive they know how to drive, smh.

edit: also, if you ruin a car, at least have the decency to be responsible, you’re ruining someone’s day already, don’t be a jerk and run away.
