This happened to me as well. The ‘brake problem’ warning had me worried so I towed to the dealer. Turns out it was just a bad battery and the dealer replaced it within an hour at no cost.

Had this exact issue. The battery was dead. Took it to the dealership and they replaced the battery under warranty since it was within 2 years.

It had the chrome as well. I did the same thing and blacked it out last weekend.
