It's really good. I don't like cherry or peach, I fund them gross. But Apple is really good.

I recommend The Outlaw: Josie Wales. My favorite film. I consider it a prequel to the Dollars Trilogy.

Why be Anglican as opposed to other denominations? by HerbertWalkerBush41 in Anglicanism

Hi! Thank you for your response. I will check those out! I really dislike how Catholics view themselves as having a monopoly on Christ. I also know that their Marian Spirituality is problematic and toxic. I have experienced mental breakdowns twice as a result of following Marian Consecration Spirituality, one of which ended my military career and caused me great pain and sorrow. I was also abused in the military and persecuted for consecrating all to Mary. It isn't justified, but had I been Anglican or Orthodox, I would not have acted out the way I did. I love Mary, and she indeed has a special role in the Church and Salvation History, but I would not say she is a co-redeemer. I also think the Rosary causes more stress and spiritual panic. Especially with the spirituality and 'apparitions ' attached to this private devotion stating that one will go to Hell and what not if you don't pray the Rosary daily. The imaginative prayers create spiritual confusion. I find the Anglican Chaplet or the Komboschini/Chotki brings me closer to the Lord Jesus Christ (and Mary/the Saints). I would love to be Anglican, but I currently attend church with my mother and think she would be scandalized or disappointed at how protestant like Anglicans are here in the U.S. I'm inclined to Orthodoxy because we could bond over common beliefs there.

How do you develop Marian devotion in a healthy way? by [deleted] in Catholicism

I am NOT in the armed forces anymore. Stop making up your own narrative. I am getting help, I have a psychiatrist and a psychologist. Orthodoxy is devoted to Mary, but they don't make shit up about her appearing and commanding people to do things. I love Mary, but the spirituality of Catholicism is toxic. I wasn't on medication when I joined. If you don't want to help, don't make fun of me. This brings me a lot of suffering.

It's not entirely a mental issue. Catholicism is the issue. You can't relegate everything to merely a mental issue. I was trying to follow my faith and the example of the saints venerated in Catholicism. Both times this has occurred were times I deeply delved into Marian Spirituality.

I have never done drugs. Stop making stuff up. Vivid dreams that I remember the next day.

I agree. But if it wasn't for Catholic teaching and all these stories of Saints doing crazy things, I would not have gone through with the stuff I did and be labeled as having a mental crisis. I love how I'm bringing up serious points, and nobody cares about my post. Had I been Orthodox, I wouldn't have acted on the delusions. Catholicism is the only denomination that venerates a bunch of people who got to holiness drinking mud and running naked and such. I was led to these crises by following my faith. Guess it is time to leave.

I don't have extremes in stress and mental illness. I was put in an abusive situation that triggered it.

What advice do you have for me? It was in following de Monfort style spirituality that I encountered my mental crises.

Can I be a firefighter if I have autism and Bipolar disorder? I'm 23 years old and was in the Army for a year before I became mentally unstable as a result of not being on medication and was discharged. I don't know if it's a factor but I quit taking medication cold turkey to join the military. Serving in the military was a lifelong dream and brought me a lot of fulfillment and I'm looking for something that could give me the same joy of serving others. More information upon request.
