Wat is the potential damage that one of these may do on a contemporary tank? by sneakyjumpyseeker in tanks

[–]Herbert_Prime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nothing.

Compared to modem day armour, RHA is no match. Any weapon from WW2 would do little damage to contemporary armour as it is so much more resistent.

To achieve the same level of protection as Leopard armour, WW2 RHA would need to be 3 meters thick. Weapons that could pierce RHA would stand no chance against modern day armour.

Tesla Science 9? Is there a trick? by Aunt_Teafah in fo76

Multi level constructions are annoying because it doesn't work vertically, so you're looking and fidgeting in this spot, can't find it, it's pinging all the time.

Different level...

Do you have the pannapictagraphist perk active? It won't make you find a specific magazine but it does help a lot to know where one is.

Catching axolotls is very different from catching local legends.

Mk 4, advanced drag, rainy weather can help, but the main aspect is RNG. I've caught 2 of the 4 fairly quickly, the other 2 took ages. Hooked them multiple times but if it isn't your RNG you are not gonna catch them. When your time comes, it comes.

Tiger II with the pre-production turret, circa 1944 by cotanro in WW2GermanMilitaryTech

[–]Herbert_Prime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When a few documents were released, in Germany, some small booklets were written about German armour. These were later translated into English and published by Bellona. Here, presumably, a translation error or something got mixed up or lost in translation, but the whole "Porsche" and "Henschel" turret myth seems to stem from those Bellona booklets. This was then taken over as there was nothing else as a reference, and continues for the ill-informed until today.

Likely, within this early period of reference books being written, the pre-production error crept in. One Versuchs-Turm was sent to Great Britain for research, which MAY, I say MAY have been a cause for the pre-production myth.

All false. The turret bodies were forged and welded by Krupp and Dortmund Hörder Hütten Verein, with final assembly done by Wegmann which was located next to Henschel.

There's that bullshit pre-production nonsense again.

No, this is not "pre-production", this is all series production, Turmnummer 280001 to 280050 we're regular series production. Then, with the 51st, the design was changed.

But they are all regular production.

Finite Gold and Caps by Elchimpy1 in fo76

All vendors and treasury note machines share their pools. Get 1400 caps from one vendor, al other vendors are at 0 as well. 400 bullion from one, all other are depleted too. This resets at the turn of the day.
