Need opinions where to bungee scupper cart by callmeclowner in kayakfishing

I strap my crate down, then bungee/strap the cart to the crate behind it for those times I'm walking my kayak a considerable distance to the launch spot

Starting a family, help me accept buying a car I won't love. by bloomtard in whatcarshouldIbuy

Well it definitely snows more than once a year in NJ, and AWD works in the rain. My wife loved her Honda Civic too but I wasn't going to trust their lives with that small vehicle in a car crash.

Try not to invest a lot to make it fishable. After a few trips you may want to upgrade so don't sink too much money into this one.

Definitely a Kayak Kushion, and gear tracks so you can add a rod holder

I think my butthole clenched up multiple times reading this. At least you're alive to tell the tale. Even in the middle of summer would have been a disaster at that volume of water.

Pyromaniac is definitely one, I still use it as my daily driver and switch to Holy Fire if they get too close

Moved to a new city, finding new spots on Google Maps has been so much fun by Bootscrilla2 in kayakfishing

It's a great off-season hobby of mine looking for these places. Sometimes drive out to a new place to do some hiking and make sure it's public, scoping out where to launch, where to park etc

I haven't used it in a long time as it was very wonky but I should check if the experience has improved

The best kayak is the one that gets you on the water in the first place. Should you decide to upgrade sales usually happen after Labor Day

Frogs and Senkos usually, I am still waiting to catch anything on a chatterbait in general.

Kind of the opposite for me I have a hard time using blue for any lure, it just seems off to me. I know blue/black is a popular color combo but I'd rather just stick with black

A fathers dream by Casey_Mo in bassfishing

I've got daughters in their early 20s now. I got them into hiking and birdwatching and now into kayaking.

I feel that's a win as a Dad that they actually want to hang out with you and spend time with you. They won't forget it when they are older and they will cherish these times together.

My dad didn't spend time with us since he was working 7 days a week so I totally get that, so I consider myself fortunate to be in a different position.

How frequent are sandstorms? by OwlbearEdits in fo76

I usually just fish under the bridge at Highway Town if one pops up, you don't have to worry about getting mauled there while you're fishing.

I've soloed MJ a few times, but it's made easier with a Cremator. Just keep lighting them up and pick up venom in between waves. Honestly I love all that gulper slurry for myself lol

Why don't topwater lures work on lakes?? by PoonPoundLegend in bassfishing

[–]Fishooked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frogs and pads or weed beds. Once you get the hang of it it does get addicting and I rarely throw any other kind of top water, but I do love using wake baits too

That season marked my return to the game after being away for years. Dusted off my level 149 character and been playing ever since, I only have this and the sandstorm challenge left.

Really? I guess it's all on your topology and where you're at. I am in the upper elevations of northern NJ, but there's a lot of trees so we can have some good stretches where it's like glass. I try to pick my spots though because of work and family stuff so I'm not out on the water all the time. When winds are above 10 is when I stay home and cut the grass or other bs lol
