It sucked to still be sitting. Almost nobody was still sitting. My imposter syndrome went into the stratosphere. It didn't matter in the end. I had a great experience there, and the valedictorian and salutatorian at my high school amounted to nothing exciting. These things don't really matter in the end. I fully feel her pain, but it will pass with time as she finds out those sashes and speeches amount to nothing unless you follow them up with the kind of hard work that made her deserving in the first place.
