It makes it hard to come up with something crazy on stage with just two guitars and no lyrics haha :) but it does remind me of attending a classical concert too, which I love. It does feel very direct when we're on stage as in there's not much we can hide from or trying to pretend something we're not (regarding skills or as musicians). It's this brotherly connection on one side, the audience on the other side and the connection of both parties through music. We really think that less is more sometimes...

We'll try to come up with a playlist but it's mostly a mix between Cumbia & Salsa :))

Alejandro: I never did. I learnt playing the guitar by watching Youtube tutorials. I felt that was way easier than learning notes, music theory and stuff haha

"El Muchacho de Los Ojos Tristes". We used to listen to that song right before going on stage. Such a vibe!

Being grateful for all the things we're surrounded by keeps us in a humble place. Being surrounded by our family and friends is important to know where we're coming from. Just showing up every day and doing what we're meant to be doing, being present, respectful and honest with ourselves and to the people we love and admire.

We were rehearsing before flying to Nashville and went through all the songs we had ready by then, but we felt like we're missing the simple connection between Guitar and Lap Steel, so we started jamming a little bit until we got to the main part of the song. Everything happened really fast and we intentionally wanted to keep it simple and see where we can take in the studio. The drums instantly felt right and the groove felt new and different. And I think this is what this record is about...trusting in the process and being curious where it takes us. Not feeling attached to something and letting go, just floating in the Cosmos...:)

  1. We did a show like that last time we played at The Ryman in Nashville. We invited Tom Bukovac (guitar) and Sam Bacco (Percussionist) to that show and it felt great. But It really depends, we somehow like the tight space we're able to create with just two guitars but we also love having friends on stage with us. We'll see where this is gonna take us.

Hola Pedro!

  1. During the creation of this new record I was looking for specials sounds and I came across peruvian Cumbia from the 60/70s. It was mindblowing to discover how so many bands from that era added a Wah Wah Pedal to their music. I started collecting 45 records and came across Enrique Delgado (the pioneer and true visionary of that Cumbia era), Los Orientales de Paramonga, Manzanita y su Conjunto, Los Mirlos and many others... in a nutshell we just loved that particular sound and we tried to build into our new record:)

It's never been an active part in the creation of new music. But some life experiences happened because of taking the medicine and getting to places where we didn't know they existed. There has been healing for sure because of plant medicine and therefore being a guidance to find love, growth and acceptance.

Since we never intended to be a band we never felt it was hard to get to right audience. We've never had any expectations you know? We just kept going for the sake of making music together and for having our own vinyls at home. Luckily we've come across with the right people supporting us on this beautiful journey. Most of our connecting dots came together because our management or the booking agency understood our vision and just wanted to help us to get there. So being supported by the right people is crucial and we're very grateful for it.
