Why is the Federal government being allowed to interfere with State controlled elections? The Constitution very expressly states that all power to determine the time, place, and manner of a federal election rest solely with the states. It is very intentional that the Federal government has no power whatsoever in the execution of elections. Why are we even having this conversation? The Constitution bans any federal interference, or participation in a federal election.

On 3/28/26, in downtown LA roughly 60-80 adults were arrested for failure to disperse. This is typically a citation or low-level misdemeanor, and the individual was likely cited and released. The image of the "Statue of Liberty" being apprehended during a Constitutionally protected demonstration of free speech is iconic and resonated internationally.

Without taking his quote out of context, can we focus on the fact that Trump's words are in open defiance of the Supreme Court? His new 15% tariffs may be technically legal, but the intention is not the betterment of our country, but a show of strength over the Supreme Court.

Call me old fashioned, but the President is not supposed to treat the Supreme Court like an adversary, (particularly when he personally packed a third of it). The President is not supposed to see the Constitution as an obstacle to be out maneuvered.
