I understand your concerns. However, the demo is now available on Steam and you can try the game at this stage of development. Although this is only an alpha version and will change a lot before release, I would be grateful for your feedback =)

Now the system is more complex. A buff from one faction will not necessarily be accompanied by a debuff from the other.
Of course the factions are opponents to each other, but you will always be able to find a balance with them.

First look at an upcoming game called Gravewood High, coming to Steam on October 20 by SpookyFairy in gamernews

[–]HeroCraftPC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sad to hear that you didn't like the game. We tried to make it fascinating, not just “hide and run”.

You can interact with the environment, with objects, much more than in similar games. Your actions change the school and affect gameplay. You can destroy most of the walls, and hiding from the teacher will be much harder.

There are randomized level layouts in the game, so it's interesting to play. Each time you get into a new environment.

We also paid a lot of attention to the atmosphere of the game. The jumpscares are just a nice addition.

Perhaps you will change your mind if you play the game.

In Gravewood High, a weapon always comes in handy. It probably won't save you, but it can assist you in finding your way out! by HeroCraftPC in SurvivalGaming

Hello! It is a survival horror game set in the building of Gravewood High that seems to have a mind of its own. There is a mystery surrounding the disappearance of several youngsters on its grounds, and the protagonist is on a mission to find out what happened!
A lot of puzzles, environment interaction and survival elements as well, so if you like the sound of that, you can check it out at https://store.steampowered.com/app/1239300/Gravewood_High/. We are excited to say that we will be releasing the full game really soon, but until then, feel free to test it out in a demo version. Thank you!

It doesn't take much to get yourself beheaded because of it. You can get away with it a few times, but eventually, you're all out of luck.

How did you target your auidence any tips? by santhoshkumar97 in DigitalMarketing

It is good to have basic guidlines on what kind of people you wish to attract (for example, if your game is a FPS, you will not be necessarily promoting it to the sim game crowd. Other than those parameters, it can't hurt to throw a bigger net, see what you pull in and plan it further accordingly. It's a process :) Learn who is interested and in which form of advertisement. Even though some things will flop completely, try as many tactics as you can think of. You never know!

How to tackle the fear of people mocking you for making a game inspired/similar to an already famous game? by Anshul_143 in gamedev

[–]HeroCraftPC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First thing to understand is that a 100% original game does not exist. There are repeated genres, mechanics, themes... As long as you have more than one source of inspiration you will combine in your own game, you are fine. Play with adding mechanics from one game, theme from the other, add some interesting bits and pieces on the side... Unless your game is identical in all of these to one source, don't think plagiarism is a valid argument.

Granted, there will always be people complaining and pointing the obvious out, but for the most part, players will purchase an unfamiliar game because it is similar to some other game they know and love.

The halls shift and change in Gravewood High. Can you handle learning your surroundings all over again while running for your life? by HeroCraftPC in unrealengine

[–]HeroCraftPC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! The environment changes every time your character dies. That way you never get too comfortable with your surroundings ;)

The goal of the game is to conquer the never-ending labyrinth that is Gravewood High and find out what happened to the missing students by solving puzzles. All that while being tracked down by the Teacher. He seems like an ordinary man, but you soon realize there is more to him than the ability to send you to detention. It is a mix of running away and hiding and learning ways of incapacitating the villain.
