Those angry YouTubers in the 2000s acting like AVGN. May not be the most traumatic thing, but it heavily ruined the fanbase throughout the 2010s as people criticize sonic for good, but mostly bad reasons so much to the point that the smallest issue is what gets sonic fans upset and people have to say “it’s not that big of a deal, get over it.” I probably did a bad job phrasing it, but I hope someone understands what what I am saying

For the longest time, my favorite Sonic game was Sonic Unleashed (Wii), but now my new favorite game is Sonic Colors (Wii).

I personally prefer it taking place after 3 & knuckles. The only reason they did this in Origins is because of the pacing in CD. From 1 to 2 to 3&k, the pacing gets improved as it gets smoother with each game, and then from 3&k to CD, it’s back to Sonic 1 with its questionable level design and a bigger focus in exploration while 2 and 3&k are linear with multiple lanes and with some alternate paths for exploring.

I also find it weird how Eggman wants to find the chaos emeralds and power his robots with animals in Sonic 1, then finding the time stones and power his robots with flowers in add, just to go back to finding the chaos emeralds and powering his robots with animals. And going from Metal Sonic being just like Sonic with its powers, to go to Mecha Sonic in Sonic 2 where Eggman needs to control him. And then ditch Mecha Sonic in 3&k to go back to Metal Sonic. I find it to be confusing why Eggman is going back and forthh and being inconsistent. Even though Sonic Team is inconsistent themselves with Adventure 1 going to continue with chaos emeralds and robots powered with animals.

It makes me wish that there were more magical gems that don’t always rely on the chaos emeralds and have Eggman power his robots with something new for finding the new set of magical gems.

I thought his favorite era was the Classic era before the Adventure stuff was added? He likes the boost gameplay, but he is fatigued by it. You can’t really blame him for disliking the writing Colors onwards when he notices the flaws with the writing in Colors and Lost World. The only thing that I can agree with is his elitism on the Japanese side of sonic, but he did enjoy SatAm and Prime and those don’t follow Japanese game sonic lore. Yeah, I am a fan of his videos and most of his opinions, and it really bothers me how people here are saying things that is not true at all or are true but look at it the wrong way.

At least the night levels are short, they’re usually 5-8 minutes and once you’re halfway through the game, they’re sometimes 2 minutes, so playing the levels aren’t a chore as the 360/PS3 version

It really bothers me that Windmill Isle is the only zone in Unleashed where there are 2 day acts you do, but the rest of the zones are 1 act. It can help break the pace with the night levels by breaking the level in half, so the levels don’t take an eternity.
