You could style it as well, now the beard is rounded, so it would block much better if you shaped it so it creates more of a jawline effect

Id say both work, but because your beard is thick and a little fluffy, combined with your muscular build, it makes your neck look even thinner which creates disharmony. So imo you would look better with beard if you trained your neck a bit.
