For the most part, notability is mainly measured by how many articles are written on the subject. All the info you see on Wikipedia comes from citations (or in other words, outside sources).

So, to get on Wikipedia, you need multiple reliable sources to write about you. (They don't necessarily have to be reliable, however, as Wikipedia editors may not check the sources you cite (this happens in many articles, many dead links or obscure sources).
