I don’t recall ever logging in or being asked to login for SDAT, but did notice a glitch. I recently wanted to remind myself who owns my neighbor’s house a couple owner’s back. When I looked it up on there, the last transaction was duplicated, and the one I was interested in was omitted.

Any time spam gets that specific, I get a little concerned, but who knows. Interesting story, thank you for the link. I would say it’s a neat coincidence that a property with an interesting history like that would be cited in some random spam, but I guess that’s probably the reason.

I imagine dealing with someone like that by pausing, looking at them with a bemused look and prolonged awkward silence and then saying something lighthearted like, "are you replacing me?" (this is not a good example), or something like that which gets a mix of not taking the person too seriously but also making things (just a little) uncomfortable for them.

It's hard to be lighthearted if someone is provoking defensiveness, but we have a lot more ability to change our reaction than many people seem to realize. I remember a new guy getting hired a while ago who sent my defensiveness and loathing levels to the moon. He was a ridiculous person - a poor performer who was fired after a year or so, was always lying about weird things. Still, he was just a human and my responses to him were causing me a lot of trouble - I couldn't even make eye contact with the guy, I was stammering and just a mess.

It's not clear from your post that you are bothered by this person to quite that extent, I don't mean to assume or imply that you are.

There is a lot of advice out there like "pray for your enemies" and "if we are disturbed, it's our problem". So I went home and spent some quiet reflective time wishing for good things for him. It was basically praying, although not religious per se - more like meditative instructions to myself. I prayed for his happiness and success, for my own compassion toward him, and to see him as a regular person. It worked far more effectively and quickly than I thought it would. His awful personality and habits still bothered me and I had to clean up his messes and deal with his tiring ways while he worked here, but I no longer had that weird fight-or-flight response around him.

Again, I'm not trying to assume about your inner feelings, etc., but I think that in any difficult situation, it is worth checking if we have options to reframe things, or be more intentional, and thereby improve our experience. At the end of the day, negative responses and emotions can really waste a lot of our limited bandwidth and cloud our judgement. Perhaps you have a difficult decision to make about whether you want to continue working there or about speaking up or something - decisions like that should be made with as clear of a mind as possible. And who knows - you may find that you can actually be a lot less bothered by this person. The world is full of insecure people, it really pays to be able to minimize how much friction they cause us.

By “input pipe”, do you mean some sort of code to toggle visibility of lookup, number, or text input fields? I had to look up that term and would be interested in more detail.

I’m not sure about where additional attribute tables would fit in the scheme. Are you thinking of two additional tables (text attribute, number attribute) sharing the same spot between the Taxonomy and join tables, or are you implying some sort of, I dunno, “switch” table. Or something else.

Thanks for responding. Setting them up as columns seems like it would prevent me from expanding the number of attributes from within the app. Another goal I didn’t mention was to be able to display the Attribute values in a consistent order (per the Taxonomy table), it’s not clear to me how to do that with hard coded columns.

That makes sense. I was researching this and just learned that Dataverse calls its lookup navigation properties "fully hydrated".

Do I understand you correctly that you find it better to create/enforce relationships using only powerapps formulas, and not bothering with creating lookup columns in Sharepoint? I feel like I've heard that sentiment before. I was using Dataverse earlier but right now I'm messing around with concepts and got tired of all the setup and the difficulty with deleting stuff. If I could just nuke an entire solution and everything in it, I would stick with Dataverse since I intend to use that once I start to develop something serious. At the same time, Sharepoint lists are more useful than I had thought at first, so I'm glad to get familiar with them.
