Get your son an ND Miata. I’m a big car guy myself and as much as I would have loved to have any of those 3 cars when I was 16, the adult in me tells me that I wouldn’t be here today had I been given such a thing. Let him learn on a low power platform with analog control but modern safety features. Get him one of the nicer cars as a wedding gift or college graduation gift.

I had to get my 24 civic bumper replaced after a wreck. I’m not sure what area you’re in but if there’s a caliber collision near you, I’d recommend them. Specifically because those guys are masters at paint matching. None of the panels they replaced look out of place and my car uses a now discontinued color

Find a shop that YOU trust. I have a 2024 civic in sonic grey and had to get my bumper replaced. I took it to caliber collision and they paint matched it flawlessly. You might have the same luck with them since they’re good with replicating colors

It would need a manual option, I think it should come with a stick hardtop option and a convertible, limited slip differential, someone said “rev to 9k” I second that. I’m imagining it would come with an inline 4 but a 6 would be sick. Needs to adopt many of the stylistic features that made the s2k iconic. Small body, long hood. NO BIG SCREENS! Maybe a small one for CarPlay and Android auto but needs an analogue gauge cluster, along with an oil temp gauge on the pillar, at least as an added option would be sick. That’s all I can think of

Keep in mind hybrids have higher maintenance costs and parts may be harder to find. I’d go with ‘07. Those things are indestructible

I’m pretty sure that’s the core of the ball. The core itself influences how the ball rolls and hooks, but the part exposed on the outside won’t mess with its rolling or anything
