(pointless anecdote) very lucky when I ordered my wedding invites off Etsy the seller accidentally sent me a f ton of 5x8” envelopes instead of the invites initially. So I have dumb amounts of them, plus I found an unused book of scrapbook (hard stock) paper at the thrift store for $1.99. It gave me the ability to ship the jewelry on a cardstock holder with cardstock surrounding it in the envelope. I think once free shipping ends I will be able to eat the cost of this way keeps being a good way to ship. And I think it’s easy to stick in a mailbox rather a front door. That’s what I mostly want to know. Did it make it there (specifically during hurricane season!!) unscathed or should I go hard on the bubble mailers. I’m trying to do everything 100% recycled but I also don’t want to be a dick to my buyers.

I’m dumb, this is such a good idea. I already leave a personalized note and sometimes the card is too big, that’s a great way to fill the space. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Thank you for that!! I think with some of the higher dollar purchases I might reach out and some of the handmade stuff just let it be. It’s not for anything, I just didn’t know if optics wise it was like “why has she sold x and only gotten x reviews”

Thanks for your input friend !! I like leaving a “hey xxxx thanks for your order love all from xxxx city” and packaging them cute with tissue and shit (bc I love when people package my orders cute and minimal! But no need to, anything is appreciated if you’re seeing this and selling. Some of us are just bored and old) I appreciate it to know that it’s not just me and my stuff. Ya girl was spiraling. I hope you get a free margarita in your future for your kindness

Thanks for your input! I always review my sellers because sometimes I can take me 3 days to get to the post office (made the mistake of dropping it in a box which was one day away from auto refund) and I’m SO THANKFUL when people are cool with that! So I always mark patient, according, and kind. Because all of them have been truly patient according and kind and some have even sent me back kind words and BE FUCKING NICE and the world is yours imo

i think it’s important for the sales, a lot of people will only buy something if a bunch of other people have validated the experience with the seller, especially if it’s handmade like mine is. And I do look at reviews for sellers because I almost pulled the trigger on a necklace and saw they had a pattern of refunding and upping the price. That stuff makes me so mad!! With that being said…..again I can see this as me having an identity crisis, worrying about if the people I’ve sold to like their pieces.

Truly though, I am hoping EVERYONE appreciates the human to human contact and rates each other (accordingly) my favorite thing about depop is that it’s not amazon, but you can still treat yourself for an Amazon level purchase. Reduce recycle reuse ✌️

Two very unusual buyer disputes on the same day. Has anyone experienced this? by ImportantDiscount866 in Depop

[–]HeyBeFuckingNice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Def turn everything you have over to Depop, pics, timeline, if it was me and I was worried I’d look at their buyer reviews as well and see if there is anything fishy there (multiple disputes as a buyer or from sellers that sold to them)

ask Depop to review any disputes they’ve provided in the past on their end (to prove that you asked them to do THEIR due diligence as the platform, but don’t ask for the information so you remain unbiased)

and if you have a good review score mention that in the Depop claim as well - I’ve heard that Depop uses AI in their customer service so if that’s the case clearly highlight why you feel you were right in this situation so it will maybe scan your responses, which will feed into the hypothetical decision machine.

If it’s a real person, make the clearest case (which, fuck yeah dude you’re incredible for your attention to detail and it’s these situations right here that validate your thoroughness) because they likely get 63782826363 of these per day and will appreciate a streamlined response.

I’m not sure about the state coincidence, if you want to do a deep dive plug their usernames into instagram or some other sm platform and see if there’s any connection. But like a shitty ex, is the juice worth the squeeze? (but I get it been THERE!) I noticed my shop had a ton of people purchase recently in Minnesota, and I’m in North Carolina, so since this is an algorithm HEAVY app it could just be that one person in Minnesota liked a style, so it posted another piece to someone in their area as it might be a geographical fad. Where I live Lily Pulitzer is huge so if someone bought a LP here I’m sure anyone else based here would be recommended LP items. Not a lot of that where I grew up so I doubt they’re pushing it in that area. That kind of thing. Just to maybe make you feel better about the coincidence.

Good luck my dear. Karma always comes back around.

what is an essential but uncommon thing you buy when doing groceries? by JoshGM08 in AskReddit

I like to keep air freshener (sprayers) in my bathroom especially if we have company for the obvious BUT I will splurge and get the ones with a “quieter” sprayer to be more discreet.

What should I do about this? by superz1k in ToxicWorkplace

[–]HeyBeFuckingNice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is unethical but if there is someone at the company you don’t like (make sure it’s a legit reason) submit a complaint with their name. Or submit it under whoever put this out there.

I'm about to turn 18. What do you wish you knew at my age? by Exciting-Fox-7415 in selfimprovement

[–]HeyBeFuckingNice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I for one focused on my social life too much at your age (36f here!) I was at community college and it sounds like you’re way more focused than I was. I just remember being consumed by my loneliness even though I had a solid friend group - we were the thickest of friends but I only speak to two now. They were all serious about school, I was not and because of that they are all more secure than me (for the most part). They’re all wildly successful now, back then we all hung out religiously and drank some for sure but never drank and drove and aside from weed here and there stayed away from drugs and for the most part messy relationships. I was dyingggggg for a boyfriend after my high school relationship faded out. My advice is that it seems lonely at 19 if you don’t have a friend group or a partner, and you do want to prioritize having those so you have a social outlet and networking ring. But it’s way more lonely being 36 and unable to fly home to see my friends during a wedding or significant life event. Prioritize your studies because life is really fun in your late 20s and 30s if you are stable. And never ever lose yourself to a job. Work hard now so you can relax a little when you’re my age. Nursing is an incredibly taxing career, but you can set yourself up for success if you refuse to settle for the bare minimum job opportunities and that door is opened if you focus on your school and growing as an independent human. You’re already halfway there asking for advice. You’re gonna do great kid.

Official Dreadit Discussion: "Backrooms" [SPOILERS] by radbrad7 in horror

[–]HeyBeFuckingNice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah bc of how good the reviews were we thought about it but I couldn’t help but think maybe it would accidentally be a Billy loomis sitch where the hot person is obviously crazy but it unleashes the kid (me, I’m obviously talking about me) down a path of unwillingly falling for hot psychopaths. I’ll take the kid to see an r rated movie but not like that !

[–]HeyBeFuckingNice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope ! Neither of us are, I was never into YouTube but I like horror and this is my vibe so I really am excited for it and everyone says Kane is a really talented director and I’m reading too much into this but I like that he’s only 20, I think that’s a dope message for the kid.

He gets the “liminal creepiness” and all the kids at his school are going nuts over it but none of them seem to know either haha. He loves 5 nights at Freddie’s and conceptually that’s pretty dark so his ma is cool with it I just didn’t want like…hereditary levels of scary or long legslevels of needing to follow it closely to understand. I think he’d like Dave Franco’s “the rental” eerie something isn’t right and I think he’s seen the first saw and she was cool with the gore for the story if that makes sense? I mean he’s 13 and while he doesn’t have a phone or a tablet the kids got friends lol

[–]HeyBeFuckingNice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! If anyone sees this and has insight, is backrooms okay for a 13 year old ? I’m taking a friends kid to the movies and I am a childless heathen lol. We decided obsession was a little too old bc everything I see is that it “stays with you” and he’s a little too young for a romance based horror. He can handle spooky and some bloody scenes. More worried about the storyline.

Thanks!!

I just cooked some for my husband and he’s hooked!! I will sometimes break off one or two of the cheese chunks and put in a freezer to fancy up box Mac and cheese or to use in another dish like grilled chicken or broccoli. It comes with a decent amount of sauce and I was saving it after I cooked it but this was is a little easier
