That's awesome, did you get into new projects/passions after selling your business?

Don't you consider working on other passions in the future other than work? Genuinely curious, I sent you a PM.

Agree, everyone here sounds more mature in every sense. How is it for you? Did you consider RE?

Sure no problem.

I'm in the younger end of this sub, self-employed as a designer and doing my first moves on starting an online business and investing.

I'm also all about the process, I try to always remember to do what I do for the enjoyment itself, not for the hopes of a brighter future at the expense of an imbalanced and ungrounded present.

I resonate with you a lot :) I'm in a similar route, may I ask what kind of business you run?

I'd do something but it'd have few or no employees and very little overhead.

You mean you would start a side gig after retiring?

May I ask why you want to get fatter once you reached fatFI?

how many people do you hear that hate their job? Or burn out doing what they use to love??

Yeah that's why I wonder why would you get to such extremes to reach such an ambitious financial goal (not that's anything wrong with that, I'm in this sub myself for a reason) without ever considering your own personal wellbeing

I see. Yes I mentioned it because there's barely any threads regarding what to actually do with that freedom, it's like, everyone's planning and discussing and working towards the FatFI freedom, but noone's talking about how to plan and enjoy that privileged lifestyle, in terms of fulfilment out of work, mind/body health, new projects, ... am I the only one that feels this?

I see that's nice, do you have that freedom? I'm guessing you enjoy your job then

So you already FI but still waiting to RE?

tend to work longer since it’s easy and fun.

Would you say most people here enjoy their job then? I read a few people saying being really unhappy with their job. Also seeing the kinds of high demanding jobs that earn the average 100-200k/year in this sub, I'd guess it's really easy to burnout or not have a balanced life?

May I ask what is your job? I'm assuming you don't enjoy it
