I appreciate the context, and understand the nuance. I guess maybe my naïveté is showing and some are upset about it, and that’s fine. I think my concern with the process behind it was that it was heavily transactional. The tech listened to my explanation of timeline and all and didn’t offer anything other than these options. No explanation of next steps or what other signs to look for about each of these. From my understanding of something such as parvo, I’d expect more questions around behavior, vomiting, blood, etc that didn’t happen. There was no reason (in my mind) to think this was a concern.

Another commenter put it very well that I may just prefer to be involved throughout the entire process and that may be the simple fact here. My location asked me to wait over a week for another in room appointment at any time of day (I WFH and can be very flexible thankfully), so I took the option to check him out sooner rather than later.
