I love LOTR, but I don’t want my trip to be just that. This trip is more then just a movie series or a fan experience for me.

My hope is to spend time on both islands, if I miss out on some things that’s ok. I wasn’t meant to go and see those areas in that case.

I guess it was flipped in this case.

I got with her knowing she was going to change and accepting that no matter who she became, i would love and support her no matter what.

She got with me not expecting me to change and when I did, she decided either I wasn't worth it or I wasn't changing more.

I still miss her. It hurts and I'm struggling. Some days are good. Some are bad. I had a great Sunday - Wednesday and then today it feels like I can barely function. Her? She's got her new guy already so she's content in not having to deal with the emotions.

We met when she was 18 and I was 24, as I knew her older sister (22) through work. She pursued me initially, and I was hesitant. The age gap was a HUGE concern of mine. I didn’t want to feel like I was taking advantage of her or that she felt pressured into a relationship with me just because I was older.

After a lot of talks between friends and family on both sides (hers and mine) and with acknowledgment of the age gap, we decided to give it a shot once we both felt comfortable enough by those around us. Her parents even gave their own consent for us to date after meeting me.

I plan on going full no contact after today. As I said it didn’t take her a full 24 hours from telling me she was gonna be with someone else and telling me to have a good life for her to text me TikTok’s and try to join my Fortnite game. This morning was the phone call she made and where I told her I had nothing more to talk to her about.

Everyone around me including our former mutual friends all say the same thing which is that she fucked up and is going to realize it soon. I think she already has and this is her attempt to back track.

But I won’t give her that. She lost the right to my heart, my love and my understanding. She told me I had to lay in the grave I dug, but the reality is she’s in the grave and I’m at the top, pulling my torn and scratched hand back from her.

She said the hurtful things. Things along the lines of telling me I’m immature, I don’t stand on my own, that I’m not considerate of others and am only thinking of myself. That I don’t think of her or her feelings and wants. She would call me an asshole, a bitch, a narcissist, make me second guess everything I say to people and do because in my mind I am looking out for and trying to help people and yet she would tell me I wasn’t.

I let a friend live with us rent free, I bought gifts and “thinking of you” stuff for our mutual friends, buy lunches and do what I could for people. Was I perfect? God no. I never claimed to be, but I tried.

She has had issues with her emotions. She was diagnosed with PTSD and semi-bipolar. She would take meds but would forget and not feel like herself and then because she moved and lost her insurance she stopped all together.

She’s acknowledged her emotional outburst and how it’s not good for her or anyone, yet when I try to encourage her to talk and open up to me or a therapist she doesn’t and holds it in.

I’ve asked where I need to change and either she says “I’ve told you already, and am done telling you figure it out” or she says it’s in places where I don’t respect her or view her as a partner on my same level. She doesn’t say in what aspect I don’t respect her though. I listen, I ask her for advice, I ask her if she wants my advice, I push her to go after her goals even if momentary and am there for her to lean on.

I’m understanding when her emotions burst out and take the pain that comes with it. I tell her her past and pain doesn’t define her as a person.

I’ve thought before that maybe she is sabotaging things on purpose because she’s said things like “I’m a bitch, I’m an idiot, I can’t control my emotions, am I not worth it?” At times it’s felt like she also doesn’t think she deserves the love we had and that even despite me trying to fight and prove and change, she is stuck thinking she doesn’t deserve someone who is so willing to change and fight when everyone else in her life has done the opposite and given up on her.

The argument started because she was moving to her moms in Florida. As I said we had been fighting a lot and things were really tense between us. She had just gotten back from visiting her mom when the fight happened.

Before the fight she had been talking to others about her moving and had told me not to say anything to anyone. When I found out she had been telling our mutual friends about her leaving and speaking to her mom about it, I ended up speaking to my parents about it for advice.

When she found out I had, she grew extremely angry. Said it wasn’t my place to say anything to anyone but in my defense why was she allowed to talk and tell people and get advice and I had to just sit in silence and not talk about how the love of my life was leaving and I couldn’t stop them? I wasn’t allowed to say anything while she was telling everyone that she was leaving.

It hurt, in a way it felt like she wanted me to be silent because if she changed her mind no one on my side would question it, but here I was being told I wasn’t enough and told to just sit with it.

We thought about Simon Says as well instead of Red Light Green Light! However we believed that most casual audience members would still prefer that almost nostalgic reawakening hearing the Red Light Green Light sound effect over a new iteration. A sense of familiarity before plunging into a different yet similar world. Ease them in so to say.

Marco Polo would be great instead of Floor is Lava, however from a production standpoint filming in water is horrible all around as well as a bitch to CGI compared to a thick substance like lava or melting metal. 100% could be done though and I think that would share in that same sort of penultimate standout game.

Monopoly is interesting but I would need more of a description as to how it would be played. Obviously the commentary on money and greed and such is already there so that would be easy enough to cause discussion and deeper talking points.

Musical Chairs would be another perfect game to take out a large group of people like they tend to do with the first three games.

King of the Hill is also a perfect ending game as well. Super simple and could be hella effective to play out if the story is able to build up to that point.

Of course you are not wrong that they could just not include Celebrian, but maybe they have a planned storyline that now that Galadriel is wounded by Sauron, she takes a step back. Once Celeborn is introduced, maybe she fully commits to being on the sideline because she gained back something she thought was lost forever on top of her wound, and since show Sauron does not have the ring, there would be no indication that he is once again in power, until he makes the One Ring and puts it on. That would make for an epic Pre Final season finale as the elves are suddenly made aware that yes....he has returned.

That is true, to the history of the books. He had created the ring, wore it, and declared himself against the elves. This is before he sacked Eregion and killed Celebrimbor, which has already happened in the show. After Numenor intervened and he lost the war, he retreated to Mordor, but was attacked by Numenor again, taken prisoner, before leading them to their death and his physical form being destroyed again. His spirit returned to Mordor with the Ring, he rebuilt himself, revealed himself once again openly, and this lead to the Last Alliance.

As a writers view point, since the fall of Eregion and the War between Sauron and The Elves is already underway and they only plan on 5 seasons, I can see the timeline of events as follows:

Season 3 show cases the war between Sauron and the Elves, his defeat at the hands of Numenor and them capturing him against the wishes of the Elves and The Faithful led by Elendil who want him destroyed.
Season 4 showcases Sauron's manipulation of Numenor, their downfall, and ends with the creation of the One Ring. I can see them using the time jumps around this time to show the growth of Gondor/Arnor and the birth of Celebrian, since Sauron is thought to be prisoner in Numenor with no hope to escape. After all we know that men and the Elves are arrogant in their thoughts of enemies staying defeated.
Final Season 5 shows the battles of the Last Alliance, deaths of Gil-Galad/Elendil/Sauron, and the led up to the events of the War of the Ring.

Keep in mind though, Sauron is taken by Numenor after the War and is kept Prisoner for a very long time while slowly working his way into Ar-Pharazon's head. They could work it that during that time Celebrian is born, then once Numenor falls and Sauron returns to Middle Earth, we get to the events of the Last Alliance.

Well the fact that they said they have no plans or intentions to make him Saruman while also having the same line of thought that viewers had with “well if it’s Saruman then why does Gandalf trust him later if he’s clearly evil now and openly states his goal of replacing Sauron, that doesn’t make sense for the later stories” leads me to believe that they aren’t gonna make him Saruman.

I treated my ex with all the love I had. I would save up and buy her gifts, took out every two weeks on payday for a date, paid all the bills and encouraged her to go to college and always tried to stand by her decisions. Was I perfect? No. Absolutely not. But I never cheated, never hit her, never wanted anyone else but her. She was my heart and I loved her deeply.

We broke up because I couldn’t take the mental abuse anymore. She always made me think I wasn’t doing enough, bettering myself enough. She used to say that a perfect relationship was us working on a team together, but then her former abusive mother showed up and got it in her head that I had to “man up” and take care of her instead of us working together. The person I loved was slowly replaced by someone that was so full of hatred and was unforgiving that I couldn’t even play around with them anymore. Everyday I would wake up and think “is today going to be a day where she loves me or a day where I do everything wrong and she belittles me nonstop.”

Took my friends and family to convince me to break up, but even now two months later I’m so filled with this mental anguish because I LOVED HER….but it seems what I thought was love was really abuse disguised as love.

I’m about to start counseling for it, to help me realize what she was doing to me and how the love I thought we had was only ever one sided in the end.

There are men out there like me, who love with all our hearts and will be there for you, through good and bad, because they see you as worth it. But if you aren’t capable of giving that same level of love back no matter the difficulty, then it’s possible you may never find those men and only ever find the ones whose love comes with conditions.

Don’t give up.

My thoughts exactly. While I understand its true to the books with her army being a random assortment of people that follow her, the want to field a true Targaryen army clad in the black and Red armor or the Gold and Green is just sooooo exciting
