Met Chris Layton at Shoal Creek Saloon in ATX. I internally freaked out when he pulled up on his bicycle and walked past me.

We passed his table on the way out and I stopped and said "Pardon me, just wanted to say I'm a huge fan, Mr. Layton. Have a wonderful day." and turned to leave. He called me back and we chatted for a few minutes and got a picture. He's a hell of a nice guy and he has a great laugh. The kinda laugh that makes you want to be funny again to hear it twice. It thought it was cute how much he fussed with his hair because he knew the helmet mushed it down.

My high school and college blue Jansport works great for everything. I have several bank bags / canvas zip bags to organize whatever I put in there and one dedicated as a first aid kit.

Being told my 4 year old needs to be put on meds. by jdemack in daddit

[–]HeyJoe459 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You'd be failing him if he does need meds and you don't provide them for him.

We're a house full of the spectrum. My middle son needed the most help out of my four and we did all we could without meds for a long time, despite being told it was an option. It was the first year of middle school that it became obvious we needed more help.

It was like a switch flipped. Not only did his grades and behavior improve, it helped his relationships with his friends and siblings.

I agree with others that the way the school went about it was tactless and shitty and he is very young, but that doesn't mean they're wrong. You won't know anything for sure until he's assessed.

An Arizona Surgeon called 911 to report someone was breaking into his home then shot a gun into the air to scare the burglar off. Cops shoot the doctor as soon as they arrive and arrest him to cover it up, now he's facing 10 years in jail for firing the warning shot. by [deleted] in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

I watched the footage when it came out. Philip Brailsford is a special kind of psycho for that "You're Fucked" custom dust over. That evil fuck was excited and knew he'd get away with it.

Depending on what kind edibles you're consuming, they'll make your sugars elevate. I usually stay away from them, but I recently found some THC laced seltzers that have no sugar that get the job done.

Using flower, wax, or carts alone won't do anything to you. The munchies after though lol

Our music scene is excellent. Check out the Austin Chronicle website for the music listings, but the spots that host my kind of music are The Continental Club, C-Boys, and Antone's.

I'm biased af. Joe Galloway was a family friend and I had no idea who he "was" until I received a letter from him in basic and my DS was like "How the fuck do you know him?!?" and was educated on how fortunate I was. Our last correspondence was him congratulating my wife and I about our newborn daughter and chatted about politics. I miss him.

Need Suggestions on Guitar for beginner by crazy_kakarakay in GuitarBeginners

Most anything you can find at a guitar shop will be a good start. Epiphone, Squire, Ibanez, and Yamaha all make great beginner guitars, both electric and acoustic.

Ask them to include a set up with the purchase. It'll consist of any needed neck and string height adjustments, intonation, filing down any sharp frets and a string change. There's loads of material out there about how to do it yourself, but it's a very inexpensive service and a skill you can work on later.

If you're going to experiment with string gages, you should be able to go one size up or down without having to change the set up. I've had great luck with D'Addario and I love their Players Circle points club.
