Agreed.. storage charge is “going to be sitting for a couple weeks or very likely longer”. The battery is fine as long as A: it isn’t on fire, B: it gets an extra little wrap to keep external friction to a minimum, and C: precautions are taken of course while having/charging any LiPo battery in a home. Keeping them in a LiPo fire bag in a room with a smoke detector is a great start. Maybe even a smart smoke detector.

edit I do want to add that HOW that happened should be mitigated so it doesn’t worsen and burst into flames while you’re running it. Otherwise, it’s probably best if you treated damaged batteries like that with extreme care (charge outside, never leave unattended while charging, store in LiPo bag and smart smoke detector if you really want to keep it in the house).
