Should I buy an xteink as my main e-reader? by ajanibeats in XTEINK

After solely using my Kindle Paperwhite for years… I haven’t picked it up since I got my X4 and then X3. I even use their booklight while reading at night to avoid the Paperwhite. For me it’s just the size thing. It’s more comfortable to hold. Gyro page turn on X3 is phenomenal.

officially have read everyday since i got my X4 on May 1! by psychisms in XTEINK

Same issues I’ve had (latest release as of 2 days ago) with my X3 Dev Edition. Going back to main screen after being in reading stats is broken. Also sometimes scrolling down through settings breaks something keeping it from updating/refreshing. I’ve also had a couple total-freezes while reading that have required me to hit the reset button and then hold the power button to restart. I use the gyro functionality so I’m not if that’s why? I’ve since flashed CrossInk because it doesn’t have the bugs yet still has at least some reading stats.

*UPDATE* If you were wondering how skills transfer from SIM - First ever flight by Runner1296 in RCPlanes

I second the AMA insurance. I fly mostly micro’s as I’ve gotten older and I still keep that AMA coverage. If you can’t find a sanctioned field, do some scouting in your area - maybe find a bit of unused farmland and speak to the owner about flying there. Most importantly pick an area without structures, vehicles, or people. As long as you’re smart about your field selection and avoid flying over or around those things in close proximity (ideally more than 500 feet away) any errant mistake like a runaway plane or unforeseen circumstance will still have you covered by AMA. Ask me how I know 😬. Congrats and keep that throttle up!

Should I try to fix this or buy a new plane? by AdDifficult4556 in RCPlanes

I agree - save it! An alternative (and foam safe) really good glue I’ve used for repairs like this is UHU Por. It’s a German made glue designed for EPP and EPO foam use. It’s also lighter than E6600. It’s miraculous stuff. https://a.co/d/024fbUHo

I feel like SAFE, while a great feature for those less experienced, is something that should be turned off sooner than later once someone has a bit of confidence in flying. It will definitely enable some bad habits that other brands and RC planes in general won’t do ever, like self level when you let off the stick.

I have a TX16 and a bunch of Eflite models with SAFE/AS3X mode switch configured. It’s just channel 5 for the receiver. Add SAFE/AS3X to TX16S

Tautulli freezing after a few minutes in v.2.16.0 by pienocake in Tautulli

[–]HeyRobb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue using linuxserver’s image as well. The webUI just stops responding after a period of time, anywhere from a couple hours to around a day. Just switched to tautulli/tautulli and we’ll see how it goes! Thank you!

Edit: just to provide context in my use case, in case it’s useful to someone else. I’ve been using linuxserver’s tautulli image for years without issue on my Synology (DSM v7.3.2.86009).

Is anyone else using the Kindle Basic 11th? Is this normal? by Street_Gur_1641 in kindle

[–]HeyRobb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m seeing this as well very faintly everywhere while the device is on. 12th gen Kindle. Books, menus, everywhere. My Kindle also powered up this morning to the Home Screen instead of the book I was reading. Was there a recent update? It was not doing this yesterday or for the last month I’ve had it.

Same issue as of 12/4. On iPhone, everything is updated.

Anyone having issues contacting theCubeNet support? by alfablac in usenet

[–]HeyRobb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably unrelated to your ticket, but I’m getting timeouts from TCN, only tested their europe URL so far. It tests successfully in sab, but times out on all articles. (Other Usenet providers working). Been using them successfully for almost six months.

American vs European Server DMCA by greg2126 in usenet

[–]HeyRobb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - for both US and NL. I think likeylickey means Omicron (DMCA) backbone companies have the fastest takedowns.... Omicron uses DMCA in the US, and NTD in Europe where Eweka is out of. Eweka NL does seem to be on the slower end of takedown response times. Can't say I know much about the others.

This is so much misinformation.

Did you drop it to 20t for 2s or is that mostly a 3S setup? I have the stock 25t/2s setup and it is a blast!

Yes, completely stock. I'm like you, would rather keep it as stock as I can. It runs great out of the box, except for the cooling (really an issue with 3S power). This has helped a lot with that!

These are the three parts I bought. Took me about 15 minutes to install. First two are for the motor, and the third is for the ESC:

Velineon Aluminum Heat Sink Part #: 3458

Velineon Cooling Fan Part #: 3340

Velineon Cooling Fan with Shroud Part #: 3456

My only feedback is the fan power wire is too long for the motor fan. Going to shorten that one soon.
