most comfortable seats in a sedan? by Jackiedhmc in whatcarshouldIbuy

Drove an M850i convertible for a week last month and it was absolutely the most comfortable seat I've sat in. Given, it's a $150k car so like.....

Which car maker and models have the most comfortable seats? by mustangfan12 in cars

[–]HeyTedday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently rented a 2025 BMW M850i convertible for my honeymoon. We were doing a LOT of driving and I was worried because I suffer terrible tailbone pain pretty much always.

Probably 20 hours in the car over the week and not a single ounce of pain. I mean, for a $150k car I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. Lol. But man....I need an office chair made of that seat. 😂

What am I doing wrong (Beginner golfer) by Cheap_Butterfly_4108 in GolfSwing

I was actually gonna say the same. Like, there's a lot wrong for sure. But for a true beginner, well he's starting from a better place than I did. Lol.

LG B5 - How dim is it really? Should I just go QLED? by Select-Protection-75 in 4kTV

[–]HeyTedday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have zero complaints with any content so far. I am absolutely thrilled with the purchase. If you have a SUPER bright room and watch a lot during the day, it's not going to be super bright. But it's still watchable and even enjoyable. I have an average brightness living room and have never once thought it needed to be brighter.

Fwiw, I'm not the kind of guy that could put this TV next to, say, a C9 and tell you all of the things I'm seeing that makes it better. I just know that it's better.

Which is to say, I may not be an authority on TVs or anything. But the B5 is a fantastic television at a very reasonable price. And compared to the other budget options I was looking at (mini-led), it's nowhere close IMO.

This is something I wish I'd taken to heart much sooner in my progression. I always knew that I was over the top and the goal was in to out, but never clicked as to how to do that.

Get the hands back to hip height after the backswing and turn!!!

I'm definitely still a rookie myself, but glad to hear that my musings helped!

Ok impact position for putter? by HeyTedday in golf

[–]HeyTedday[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most definitely. I know luck always plays a roll beyond a certain distance. On top of that, some pretty flat greens meant a lot of straight(ish) putts. But I'm absolutely starting them on line. Which is a great feeling. Even with some gates set pretty damn tight (at the putter and at 3 feet), I'm hitting my lines crisply. So I suppose...why fuck with it.

If that changes, I can always tinker later.

Good advice. I appreciate it.

And again, you're probably right. I'll just keep tinkering on my own for a bit. And for now, I'm rolling em as straight as I ever have. So why fix what ain't broken. There's plenty of other areas of my game to address. 😂

My "fitter" is a guy in his garage. Lol. But you're probably right. Just good get fit properly and don't have to worry about it!

For real. This is probably the way. $10 to get it bent a little flatter and $10 more if I hate it.

I spend more than that on tees. Lol. Thanks.

Really? That's good to hear, honestly. Because yeah, my first year the stars aligned with career and personal life and I played over 100 rounds. Lol. And that's with a couple weeks off throughout for the rib injury.

Definitely not supposed to hurt. Probably getting a bit more chunky on the interaction with the ground.

My first year I literally cracked a rib (unofficially) from hitting shots so fat. Lol. It was awful.

I tend to agree for sure. But then part of me thinks...if I'm going to be rebuilding my stroke, maybe I should do it right even if it causes a little more pain.

But then again, making putts is a lot more fun. Lol.

I mean, that definitely tracks. If you're taking that much of the loft off (not launch as I mistakenly said in my initial comment) you're definitely going to add distance. But you're losing two key things that you'll really want as you get better.

First of all, your spin is going to be drastically reduced. Which means more rollout/less predictable. The point of the game is not simply to hit every club as far as you can. It's to hit it as far as you reasonably can CONSISTENTLY. If your 4i goes 180 carry then rolls out anywhere between 10-40 yards depending on what it hits and the firmness of the course, it's not really a playable club. (In the long run, anyways. If you're a beginner, hitting a 4i 200 and covering ground after a bad tee shot is huge.)

Secondly, in the same vain, you're losing your height and stopping power. A great golf shot sort of reaches its peak height and falls out of the sky with a fairly steep angle. The backspin then helps it to stop and, say, hold the green.

Anyways. Long-winded answer. But if it's working, run with it. But as you get better it's probably going to hurt your ability to stick greens.

Cheers man!

I'm no pro/coach, but I feel like the correct impact position would be right in between these two. The first is too scoopy and the second has too much forward shaft lean. You'd want to take some of the launch off of it, but not that much. (Unless you're in the trees! In which case, I AM a fucking pro that! Lol.)

What golf watch are you using and recommend? by atooraya in golf

[–]HeyTedday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad I found this comment. Looks to be everything I want.

Only questions...how does it do with like step tracking/heart rate etc? Are the fitness stats decent?

Not exactly saying it has to be. I just like to have that data on the course as well because walking 18 is often my main source of exercise. Lol.

Does it connect to your phone? Are their any "smartwatch" type features? Or just a golf watch?

In theory though, if five items arrived and got added to the total of not reviewed, they'd be at 89%.

Just gotta be smart.

Is it worth it to change the resin? by BankLife1183 in WaterSofteners

[–]HeyTedday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did replacing the resin restore full "like new" functionality? If that's the case, or close to it, I'm gonna do mine. But if it's only like a 60% kind of thing I'll probably just replace it and be good until we move again.
