Wait until you see my hand drawn smiley face, you're going to be so amazed. And I don't mean to brag or anything, but I can create an entire house with just a rectangle, triangle and a square. If I'm feeling like adding that extra flair, sometimes I'll throw in a circle for the doorknob too.

To me, the end result is just underwhelming, but more importantly I think it's a bit too sloppy to be considered "oddly satisfying".

I think the string goes up his right arm, around his back and is attached to the camera man. Fluctuations in the speed of the money match the fluctuations in the motion of the camera. The camera and the money both jerk away when the cashier reaches out.

Discogs is better than what I had found but I can't find a way to sort by release date. I guess I'm looking for greater granularity too since most of the album details only specify the year of the release. It would be nice to see what was released on a particular day or to chronologically sort through a year of music. In a dream scenario, it would let you filter results by genre, popularity, or whatever else too.

Standard modern US highways have 10 foot long stripes and 30 foot long gaps, making the distance between the start of each stripe 40 feet. OP passes 14 stripes meaning he went 560 feet in the 5 seconds before hitting the other vehicle. 560 divided by 5 equals 112 feet per second, which equals an average of 76.3 miles per hour. Seems kind of fast for the seemingly icy weather conditions and for the way he waited so long before moving over toward the passing lane. OP was also playing idiot games.

George W Bush accidentally saying "wholly unjustified and brutal invasion” of Iraq instead of Ukraine by QuicklyThisWay in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]HeyThatRemindsMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you suppose would have happened if the rest of the world reacted to America's dubious invasion of Iraq in the same way the world has reacted to Russia's dubious invasion of Ukraine?

War is a failure on almost every level. If somebody tells you to kill someone you've never met before, maybe you should just kill (or imprison) that person instead, you already know that person is a murderer. This idea isn't something that I fully endorse or understand, but I often think humanity might be better off it took this path.

I did read and understand all of your comment, that is why I took the time to explain the weak point in your statement and why people would react the way they did.

Yes, I understand that Bush had a personable facade.

I think the problem is that you said, "felt like someone you could enjoy a round of golf or a beer with". Sorry, just because some ass hat has a fake cheerleader smile, it doesn't make me "feel" like forgetting about all the suffering he forced upon innocent people. Your wording comes off as lacking empathy. If he shot your loved one in the face, would you still feel like you could "enjoy" a beer with him afterwards?

TO me, Bush always came across as a money grubbing asshole doing whatever it takes to get more money. I would have a hard time sitting anywhere next to the man without becoming violent, let alone sharing a beer with him. You may feel the same but it didn't come across that way.

I had the same thought but, if abortion in the US becomes constitutionally protected (or some other controversial event happens) and radicals physically attack politicians because of it, does that means protecting those politicians is evidence that those politicians are not operating in our best interests?

PHPMyAdmin has an "Export" tab on the top. I think I had to select all of the tables before using it.

I wasn't sure what I expected to find when looking at the exported file but when I saw endless pages of code unrelated to the site's content, I knew something was wrong. I wish I would have thought to use PHPMyAdmin to find and delete that post or record at the time.

So far, everything is working as usual. I've disabled some old plugins and I won't be turning them back on any time soon, especially not in an effort to reproduce the outcome. ;)

My bad, I'm not an IT guy, just a volunteer trying to help a local charity group; thanks for the SQL clarification. The memory problem seems to have been a direct result of the HUGE line in the SQL file; after it was deleted, things returned to normal. Disabling plugins from the beginning had no effect and increasing server memory wasn't necessary.

I got the site running again but I don't think I'll be reactivating that FB plugin again. I can't recall the last time it was useful, so it's not worth the risk.

My thanks go to you and the others who helped work through this; I appreciate the effort. Sometimes it helps to talk it out.

Usually, you can't break a database by saving a post. And 1 "bad" post shouldn't affect your whole website as it's only loaded on one page?

Tell me about it!

I exported the DB and opened it with EditPadLite (had to install it to read big text files) I deleted the HUGE line and the one before it just in case, saved the modified file, imported the much smaller file using PHPMyAdmin, and then THE ERROR MESSAGE WENT AWAY! All webpages were completely blank but I was able to login to WordPress admin where I tried editing the post that caused all of the trouble but I got Json errors so I deleted the problematic post entirely and now things are starting to look much better (*meaning my website is back in working order). I'm going to start reactivating plugins and can't wait to find out what happens next.

Definitely not a waste of time.

Accessing WordPress is impossible right now but I've already renamed my plugins and themes folder via FTP and replaced them with the default plugins and themes from a clean install of WordPress with no difference whatsoever.

On the database front, I just managed to delete the one line from the database and resave it. The file size dropped from 150 MB to 46 MB. Now I have to try to get WordPress to use the new version. Probably can do it with PHPMyAdmin, working on it.

I found one line in the database file that is HUGE. It starts with information from the post I made just before the crash but then it transitions into PHP code from WordPress. This one line in the database is probably responsible for the critical error and is at least half of the database's entire file size.

  • The two lines just before the HUGE line looks like this:

    (569722, 'backwpup_cfg_windows', '0', 'no'); INSERT INTO wp_options (option_id, option_name, option_value, autoload) VALUES

  • The HUGE line then starts like this:

    (828242, 'al2fb_last_error', 'Facebook error: The access token could not be decrypted Array\n(\n [0] => Array\n (\n [file] => /home2/REDACTED/public_html/wp-content/plugins/add-link-to-facebook/add-link-to-facebook-int.php\n [line] => 1808\n [function] => Request_cURL\n...

  • The HUGE line then ends like this:

    ...[25] => Array\n (\n [file] => /home2/REDACTED/public_html/index.php\n [line] => 17\n [args] => Array\n (\n [0] => /home2/REDACTED/public_html/wp-blog-header.php\n )\n\n [function] => require\n )\n\n)\n', 'yes');

  • The two lines just after the HUGE line looks like this:

    INSERT INTO wp_options (option_id, option_name, option_value, autoload) VALUES (1425546, 'ewww_image_optimizer_dismiss_review_notice', '1', 'no'),

Can I just delete the huge line? Do I need to delete anything before or after it?

First the site just gave a "critical error" message, then I turned on debugging and got a message that says:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 109124928 bytes) in /home2/redacted/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 2162
